Title: Stormy day for death...
Description: Continued. For Ran.

Arcane Blood - May 13, 2005 07:38 AM (GMT)
It's unknown, as of now, how Lucifer was able to hitch a ride with the ambulance, but whatever the reason, it seemed pretty logical. Or pretty logical, however, to a very panicked Lucifer.

From the moment Bomani had apologized to the moment where his eyes shut, perhaps forever, Lucifer had been in tears. The ride to the hospital had been cold and lonely, leaving Lucifer sickeningly empty, and in his usual position. (The one where he wrapped his arms around his knees and his head into his knees and cried.)

It had seemed to last forever until they reached the hospital, and they took Bomani, in the stretcher, inside the building.

When Lucifer hurriedly followed into the building, he was asked to wait in the waiting room, and he obeyed, even though in his heart of hearts all he wanted to do right then was to stay with Bomani.

But now he was stuck in this damn waiting room... waiting to know if he was alive or not. And hidden behind his hair and the hood of his sweatshirt, he was still crying.

I'm so so so sorry Bo... So sorry... this is all my fault.

Ran - May 13, 2005 07:44 AM (GMT)
Bomani went through minor surgery to remove the bullet and they patched him up. By the time he reached his room, he was already hooked up to monitors and I.V.s, keeping an eye on him since he had lost so much blood.

As soon as he awoke in his hospital room, the first second he had opened his eyes, he hoarsely asked for Lucifer. Well, then he decided to look around. That might be a smart idea.

Arcane Blood - May 13, 2005 07:55 AM (GMT)
And all that time Bomani was going through the surgery, Lucifer was rocking back and forth and back and forth and back and forth in his chair, which might probably make some people watching slightly sea sick. And on top of that, he was shaking. He'd almost shaken and rocked himself to sleep, actually, and he felt like getting sick. That would be impossible, however, since he hadn't eaten anything, so there was nothing in his stomach to throw up.

He closed his eyes and tried to sit still, but it wouldn't work. He let himself over to his shaking fit for what seemed like an eternity...

A few moments later, and he was instantly jolted out of his mostly asleep, but horribly worried, sickened state, when he was informed that Bomani was okay by a nurse. He staggered to his feet, looking at the woman with his green eyes, that looked desperate... to see Bomani. He didn't know where his room was, and he expected her to show him.

Ran - May 13, 2005 07:59 AM (GMT)
She did show him. The room was in utter chaos though.

Sitting on the bed, hooked up to things, a very out of it, very hoarse Bomani had made a young nurse break down into tears because he wanted to see Lucifer and they were taking too long. The intense Egyptian had already ripped the I.V.s out once and he was threatening again til-

"Lucifer!" The dirty gold in his eyes suddenly got a little clearer.

"Get out." Not to Lucifer, the nurses. To Lucifer, he beckoned him forward.

Arcane Blood - May 13, 2005 08:07 AM (GMT)
The nurses scurried off, on their way, and the one in tears was glad to not have to deal with Bomani any longer.

Lucifer hurriedly made his way to the side of Bomani's bed, and collapsed onto his knees beside it. Lucifer was still in tears, even after over an hour, and his cheeks were cold, wet, and red.

"Bo, I'm sorry... I'm so so sorry... This is all my fault."

Ran - May 13, 2005 08:08 AM (GMT)
Bomani frowned when he disappeared from his bedside. Slowly, he edged himself to look over and raised his eyebrows at Lucifer. "Don't be. Not your fault. Though, I'll blame you if you don't get on this bed in another minute or two." He held out a hand which was not pale, cold, and clammy anymore, but it was tan, warm, and thankfully dry.

Arcane Blood - May 13, 2005 08:17 AM (GMT)
You must understand that Lucifer actually has a rational reason for blaming himself. After all, he didn't even try to help, and Bomani got shot because he was trying to protect Lucifer. And of course Lucifer was sorry and blamed himself anyway.. he was rather having an emotional breakdown, much worse than the nurse's.

It was a good thing Bomani's hand was tan, warm, and dry, because Lucifer's hand was cold as an icecube, and shaking rather violently. He just couldn't get it to stop. But that's how his hands normally were, anyway.

He touched Bomani's hand briefly, thought about it, shook his head, then stood up on his own. He sat on the edge of the bed, looking at Bomani.

"So... so sorry, Bo."

Ran - May 13, 2005 08:23 AM (GMT)
"Don't be, I'm fine. I just lost some blood and I have a little hole. They said it missed major organs so I'm fine." He wrapped his arms around Lucifer, gently trying to tug him against his body. "It's fine now, I'm fine, you should be. It isn't your fault. Accidents are just an unfortunate series of events."

One hand detached itself to briefly clear the tears before wrapping around Lucifer's ice cubed hand to warm it up. "I'm just happy you're fine."

Arcane Blood - May 13, 2005 08:31 AM (GMT)
Lucifer was sure that it was worse than what Bomani said it was, but he didn't argue about it. Not now.

Lucifer didn't object to having Bomani's arms wrapped around him, but he was still crying, and afraid to appear selfish or something. He swallowed. "I... I don't wanna lose you, Bo... I was so scared..."

Maybe now Lucifer knew what Bomani felt like when he tried to kill himself. It hurt so much to think that he'd lose him.

And he was so scared to, because Erik had tried to commit suicide, and he had almost lost him, too.

Ran - May 13, 2005 08:36 AM (GMT)
Bomani smiled, "You won't lose me now. You're stuck with me whether you want me or not." He reached up and slowly brushed away his hair, occasionally trying to clear the tears from his face. "You called the ambulance and I'm okay now. You got me help."

"You saved me."

Arcane Blood - May 13, 2005 08:42 AM (GMT)
Lucifer blinked a few times, and then closed his eyes. "Are you okay, really...? When did they say you could get out?" He clung to him, as if he were going to die at any moment, still. He was still so scared that he was going to lose him, and it might've shown.

Ran - May 13, 2005 08:45 AM (GMT)
It did, but Bomani didn't mind. Actually, he was even thankful for it. Least he knew now that he definitely cared, but somewhere in his mind, he knew it just as well. "I'm okay, I'm better because you're here." If Lucifer hadn't been at the waiting room, there probably would have been more than one nurse crying.

"They told me I can get out around two this afternoon." Which really wasn't that far away. "Did you get anything to eat yet?" It clicked since it'd go past noon, that was lunch time and Bomani remembered Lucifer's aversion of food.

Arcane Blood - May 13, 2005 08:51 AM (GMT)
It was funny to hear him say that. He couldn't imagine how his presence could make anyone feel in the least bit better. But he smiled anyway... it was nice to hear that. The smile faded soon after, though, and he was tempted to rest his head on Bomani's shoulder. But he knew he had to get up off the hospital bed sometime.

"No... but that's okay. You shouldn't be worrying about me."

Ran - May 13, 2005 10:26 AM (GMT)
"I can't help it." Indeed, he couldn't. Lucifer was first on his mind in most all cases. Except, he didn't know what was on his mind when he was sleeping. Sometimes, you just can never explain why there's a beetle rolling a tennis ball along a pair of scissors.

Bomani smiled, leaning back against the bed that was propped half way up and he held Lucifer against him still, "Glad you're here. Maybe you can stop me from making another nurse cry."

Arcane Blood - May 13, 2005 04:14 PM (GMT)
"Mmn." He murmured, more of a sound than any real response to anything. "Sorry I left you... I.." truth is, Lucifer didn't like to be alone, but he wouldn't admit that out loud. "I didn't want you to worry. I didn't want you to be alone..."

It would hurt so badly if Bomani didn't forgive him, but somewhere in the back of his mind, he knew he didn't want to hurt him.

He opened his green eyes, and looked up sadly at Bomani with them. "After lunch, you're gonna go to bed... 'kay? And we can just rest at..." the apartment was what he was going to say, "...home. And I won't leave you."

Whether or not Bomani forgave him, he was at least telling him he wouldn't leave him. And he was going to buy food... for the both of them. Bomani had asked so nicely for him to take care of himself, and he said he would, afterall.

Pat yourself on the back, Bomani. You've got the old Lucifer back.

Ran - May 13, 2005 09:10 PM (GMT)
Bomani leaned forward, pressing his lips lightly against Lucifer's forehead, "Don't worry, I wasn't angry at you in the first place, Camel." Being used to Lucifer, he knew he'd have to state it, "I forgive you for whatever you think you've done wrong."

Just Lucifer saying home, well, that made Bomani extremely happy. "No qualms, I promise I'll go to bed." At least he'll attempt for awhile. He'll probably end up driving him buggy for being so restless.

"I'm glad that you won't leave me, Lucifer, I really am."

Arcane Blood - May 13, 2005 09:25 PM (GMT)
For whatever he thought he did wrong. That, in all honesty, made him feel better. Bomani didn't think he did anything wrong? He didn't have to apologize? Everything could just go about, being fine?

"You better," Lucifer warned, "or else." You know, from the half-starved, about as intimidating as a kitten man, that was quite amusing to hear.

He smiled. "And I'm glad you can rest assured, Bo."

Ran - May 13, 2005 09:31 PM (GMT)
Yup, everything could go back to normal. "Luc, can't I just leave now? I want to go home, I don't want to be here." He mumbled, laying his head against Lucifer's, "I want to go home."

"So I can be good and go to sleep." Which he'd at least attempt.

"You know, Camel, I think you're stuck with me."

Arcane Blood - May 13, 2005 09:36 PM (GMT)
"Nuh uh, Bo." This was said almost firmly. "If the doctors said you should stay here, you're not moving an inch until two." Hm, doesn't this sound familiar?

"But after then," he whispered, "I'll get you food, then we can go home."

Another brief smile lit Lucifer's features up.

Ran - May 13, 2005 09:41 PM (GMT)
Yeah, it did sound familar. It made Bomani all toasty inside. "Fine, I won't move, but I can't promise I won't make a nurse cry. They just get in the way and fuss too much." But it was understandable. If Bomani's hospital gown was lifted, it would reveal a big patch and bruise.

"What kind of food are you in the mood for?" Bomani was up for anything OTHER than hospital food.

He paused a moment and grinned, "Hey, Luc, don't stop smiling. I like it."

Arcane Blood - May 13, 2005 09:50 PM (GMT)
"They have reasons to fuss. It's their job." Lucifer said very softly (or however softly someone with a German accent can manage). "You shouldn't make them cry. They'll make you stay longer."

Now Lucifer had moved from where he was, somehow, and was now sitting on the edge of the hospital bed again. "It can't be good for me to be laying on you," he explained, before Bomani could argue.

"And I don't know. Whatever sounds good when you get out."

Lucifer fiddled with the frayed ends of the sleeves on his sweatshirt for a moment, and blinked thoughtfully.

Then he smiled again. "Okay."

Ran - May 13, 2005 09:54 PM (GMT)
Bomani frowned as soon as he moved and he was about to protest til he said that. "Fine. You win."

And by two in the afternoon, Bomani was dressed in the clothes he came in. So far, he had broken a few needles they tried to stuff in him, made three nurses cry, and scared one doctor away.

"Well, I'm ready to go and get food. Are you Lucifer?"

Arcane Blood - May 13, 2005 10:00 PM (GMT)
And by two in the afternoon, Lucifer, who'd stayed by Bomani the whole time, was feeling rather stressed, because the reality of this hospital atmosphere settled in after the adrenaline rush was over. Lucifer loathed hospitals, and was happy when the clock finally said it was two.

"I'm ready if you are," he said with a gentle nod.

Ran - May 13, 2005 10:04 PM (GMT)
"Let's go then." Bomani probably ran out as fast as Lucifer would have liked. After all, he was tired of the hospital. "Hm, you know, what about Greek? Or fast food. Something good. Maybe something quick." He smiled, ruffling his hair, "Glad you stayed with me, thanks."

Arcane Blood - May 13, 2005 10:11 PM (GMT)
Lucifer was glad that Bomani decided to go so fastly out of the hospital. Now he was winding down, with a wave goodbye to the depressing place.

"Sure. Anything you want, Bo."

Smile. "Just returning the favor. And besides, how could I not?"

Ran - May 14, 2005 02:11 AM (GMT)
His usual cocky confidence snapped back, "You couldn't. I'm just too good to be true." He slung an arm (his good side) around Lucifer, taking large steps at a time. "How about some fast food? I just want to get home." He might not let on, but he was tired. Getting shot and losing blood does take a lot, especially when the pain killers start to wear off.

"What if I said I wanted to ride my camel? Would you still say 'Anything you want, Bo.'?"

Arcane Blood - May 14, 2005 06:16 PM (GMT)
"Why don't we just go home, and I can get pizza or something?" He suggested, placing an arm around Bomani's waist, and taking steps perhaps in unison with him. He didn't want him to fall, after all.

"Uhm," Lucifer blinked, and contemplated, "I guess."

He'd done it with Erik, who weighed about the same as Bomani, up seven flights of stairs, thankyouverymuch.

Ran - May 15, 2005 01:54 AM (GMT)
"Well, glad to hear that then. I might take you up for it, and I do like the idea about pizza." He did perhaps lean against Lucifer a little, but he was grateful for the support. It just made things so much easier. He was really, undoubtly, happy for having Lucifer.

Though, by the time they got home, things just took another bad turn. When they would return to their happy abode, a misty figure, skin just as dark as Bomani's, would be on his couch, waiting for a nice body.

Aka Lucifer.

Arcane Blood - May 15, 2005 04:23 PM (GMT)
"Any time you want to, the option's open," he told him, and continued on in slight silence, though with a smile. Bomani had said that he liked it when he smiled, didn't he?

If Lucifer had happened to know about that particular misty figure, he would've strayed as far as he could from the apartment. But he didn't know, so the both of them were in for one hell of a bad turn.

Ran - May 15, 2005 05:00 PM (GMT)
Should we switch to the apartments or continue here?

:3 just askin' before I post.))

Arcane Blood - May 15, 2005 05:04 PM (GMT)
((Ummm, the apartment's good, methinks.))
