Title: Are Cybernetics Allowed?
Description: Sorry for being a pain...

I'd like to play a character with a cybernetic arm, if that's allowed. It wouldn't be too high tech and tricky. Just a prosthetic arm that can be controlled through thought, is stronger than a standard human arm (cause.. well... it's metal), but lacks control of strength or very fine motor control. If not, that's ok ^_^

Mm, we don't really do sci-fi here. However, for example, you could do something involving magecraft to get a prostetic arm.

What daunts me is that it would move with because of psychic powers and would be generally stronger than a human's arm. Are you going to include how he lost his arm in the history? I dunno, I personally think it could be doable, just as long as it didn't take on too much of an anime/sci-fi feel to it.

Eh.. I'm not sure how I could do it using magic and not have it end up being anime/sci-fi esque. Basically, the character was meant to be some street punk who lost her arm defending her sister from some creature of the night and needed to still have some amount of utility to continue to protect her. She's now in her 30's, her sister already lost to some vampire, and spending her energies as the landlord of a slum apartment complex where she uses intimidation and brute force to drive gang and supernatural activity away from the area. The use of the cybernetic arm was kind of meant to be on the less futuristic edge of cyber punk, rather than anime/scifi, since the technology for such things is under development. Really, it's not a problem for me ^_^ I think I'll use another character, since I don't think giving her any amount of magical ability would work with the character, and changing the concept to fit that would end up pushing it kinda close to anime. It's really not a big deal. Please don't think that my describing the character here is trying to beg you to allow me to use it. I just don't want people thinking anything about the character design that would reflect poorly on me as a roleplayer when I join as my more setting-appropriate character ^_^ Thanks!
