Title: Phone-call
Description: For Tor.

Arcane Blood - March 29, 2005 12:05 AM (GMT)
Rasmus wasn't home today, but his mother, who had the day off of work, was sitting crosslegged in a chair at a desk, relaxing.

Her long, wavy aubern hair was pulled into a tight pony-tail, away from her face so that not even a strand hung out of place, and had flecks of gray and white in it, moreso in the general area of her forehead.

She wore a simple, white dress that was perhaps too big on her petite figure, with a flower print on it. She loved flowers... especially sunflowers. She was an earth-y kind of person, and just liked it that way.

She was humming a tune to a rather familiar song, that could've possibly been sung by Celine Dion, when the phone rang, and disruupted her.

Riiiiiiing.

With a little sigh, she reached over for the phone.

Riiiiiiing.

She picked up after the second ring. "Hello?" The gentle, sweet voice asked, more than greeted.

(Blahcrap. Sorrrrrrrry@!)

Well, Tori was most definately not relaxed. This might have been her day off, too, but calling someone--someone who you hoped to start dating--was not something she normally did.

She was in her pajamas, light blue with little clouds on them and her brownish hair pulled back into a thick braid. She was pacing, too, something she did when she was nervous.

Normally, she wasn't a nervous person, either. She was normally very sure of herself. It was somehow different, though, when she was thinking about a certain someone and didn't want to appear...wishful, desperate? She really needed to get a grip, they'd gotten along famously, now if only she'd remember.

So she'd worked up the nerve to call, preparing to start the conversation on if he'd gotten home alright. She did not, however, expect to hear a female voice on the other end.

Uhh, maybe he had a sister? Living with him? Uhh...

"H-hello, may I speak to Rasmus, please?"

Arcane Blood - March 29, 2005 01:55 AM (GMT)
"I'm sorry, he's not home right now. He hasn't been hom recently. Would you care to leave a message?" The voice was still gentle, and the woman reached over on her desk to grab a notepad, and a pen, if she happened to want to leave a message.

Renata - March 29, 2005 01:59 AM (GMT)
"He hasn't? Why not?" Right...she hadn't really meant to say that, but if he hadn't gotten home safely, she'd never forgive herself.

Arcane Blood - March 29, 2005 02:06 AM (GMT)
"I don't question him," she said with a pause, shrugging, although Victoria couldn't actually see her shrugging over the phone. "He's been busy with work, and I think he's been staying at a friend's? He hasn't been back for three days, but I'll tell you if I see him around."

Renata - March 29, 2005 02:10 AM (GMT)
Three days?! But it had been a couple days since she saw him. Strange to think that it was only that long ago, too, that she'd met him, but such as it happened. But that wasn't the point, the point was that he could be lying in a ditch somewhere with no one knowing where he was or that he was even unconcious out in the weather!

"You're sure?" with a tinge of worry lacing her voice, "He hasn't been home even for like a few minutes, or something?"

Arcane Blood - March 29, 2005 02:26 AM (GMT)
His mother never worried about him, though. She was rather laid-back, and care free. A ditz, even. One day, her uncaring nature would get Rasmus into some real trouble.. She trusted him, however, so didn't see any trouble in not worrying.

"I'm sure, hon. Hasn't stopped by. I'd tell you if he'd stopped by. The boy can take care of himself, you shouldn't be worried."

Renata - March 29, 2005 02:35 AM (GMT)
Whether or not she should be worried didn't change the fact that she was. So she was concerned that someone's life could be in danger, didn't make her a worrywart or anything.

"Um, ok. Does he have a cell phone or something I could call?"

Arcane Blood - March 29, 2005 02:37 AM (GMT)
"Uhm, I believe he does, somewhere..." She said, scrounging around her desk for the number he'd given her. "Oh, I must've misplaced the number... hold on.." She was starting to rummage through the desk, now.

Renata - March 29, 2005 09:59 PM (GMT)
"Oh that's ok, take your time." She sounded older...could he still be living with his mother?

Arcane Blood - March 29, 2005 10:02 PM (GMT)
Living with his mother he still was indeed. His mother set the phone done nd rummaged through the desk some more, and after a few minutes, picked it up again. "I don't know if it's old or not, but I found the number."

Renata - March 29, 2005 10:15 PM (GMT)
"May I have it, please?" ...so she was on the phone with his mother...wow.
