Title: Question about deities, gods and everything !
Description: Waah! Pity me!

Well, you see, my character Astrid {Astraea Appleton} is an Initiate. She found that out because her mother is being / was possessed by the goddess of the moon (that's Achelois). Can that be allowed? There seems to be no goddess of the moon here.

And another, are the goddesses and gods / deities of Once based on the Greek Mythology? Just checking.

Please help the blind!

They aren't directly based on greek mythology, no-- rather they're meant to be drawn from mythology across the globe, represented in Bayfield most commonly in greek or roman forms because Bayfield is a Western civilization and those are the incarnations they'd know.

A goddess of the moon would be allowed, I guess, but she'd be a minor. If you have any intention to play Astrid's mother, you'd have to apply as a minor deity.

In fact, it's probably a better idea to -not- have her mother having been possessed by an unplayed goddess.

Oh.. I see.. ;)

Well.. actually, she is a minor goddess..

Okay, well there's a nice idea.. I'll have Astrid's mom not possessed. Thanks for that! ^.^

Uhmm.. this maybe kinda off topic but I have another question.. You can have as many characters as you want, right? Do you have any rule that says you have to obtain this-and-that posts to make a new character or something?

You could always have her possessed by something else. There are lots of options-- ghosts, demons... you could even see if any of the current god players think their god'd be interesting in taking hold of a woman for a bit.

As for the characters, yep, as many as you like, though we'd like to see 'em relatively active. (If they go on hiatus we don't mind, we just don't want to see someone creating twenty characters and using two.) There's no posting-minimum type rule. If you want another character now, go ahead.

*taps head*

Thanks for that again. ^.^ Sorry for the trouble!
