Title: Kay the silent
Description: Hah!...yeah right

Kiaeda - January 16, 2005 12:34 AM (GMT)
It was snowing. Kay hated snow....it was always the thing that seemed to get in wayof doing something. Like her walking. It could be worst though...it could be a snow storm...

The brunette made her way down the street. Not heading to any particular place...just way from the crowds. Knowing she might be here for a long time, she pulled on her hat. The last thing she needed was wet hair and a cold.

'Damn it...why did my parents have to be part animal. I have to cut my hair every week or it will grow out of control...' she thought, sadly. If she hated to say that she hated one thing...it would be her lineage and family background...she would never be normal or live a normal life for that matter...It was hard...being herself, but still hiding things like that from her friends...

She sighed deeply, a large puff of frozen breath blowing into the air. She wheeled on, her head phone banging to some hard rock...trying to make herself forget what she couldn't. It was starting to get dark, but it wasn't getting any colder. She changed the song on her cd and began to whisper the solem lyrics to herself; turning the corner onto a busy main street.

Massacist - January 19, 2005 03:45 PM (GMT)
He was silent, standing alone, leaning against the light pole. The light had burnt out, letting him stand in total darkness. Who changed the light bulbs when they died? How would they know that the bulb had burnt out?

Morose seemed as tall and as thin as the light pole it's self, maybe he could become the light pole, if he stood there long enough and thought about it hard enough. It was a possibility.

Morose's hair is short and spicked, his bangs however, hang long and flaming red. His eyes are unusually light for a red-head, blue, and sad, depressed. But even in this depressed state of mind, his eyes are dazzling, enough so to make up for whatever he lacked in appearance, which wasn't much. He watched the girl walking, plowing a trail through the snow. Alone. That's how he'd been when he'd been attacked.

The thought made his hand go to his neck beneath the scarf, and feel his wounds, still not healed because he would not stop touching them. He wore a pair of pants, similar to the ones he always wore, fitted on his hips and big on the legs. His shirt was a long sleeved black sweater, a black wool scarff around his neck. It's been snowing less then half an hour ago, putting that fresh new coat on the ground and he'd not moved. His booted feet, all the way up half his calf were covered in snow, as was his hair and shoulders.

"Go back girl." His voice was tired, rough, and sort of pleasent, in that hardly-been-used sort of raspiness. "It's dangerous out here alone."

Kiaeda - January 20, 2005 01:34 AM (GMT)
Kia looked ahead of her, pausing in her casualy slow pace. The brunette undoubtly heard the mans voice and calmly removed her head phones, which them blared softly in the icey silence. She looked up at the guy, raised a brow and said just loud enough for him to hear.

"I'm alot more lethal than this danger your talkin about," she smirked and kept walking. Who was that guy, and why the heck were there so many bells and whistles going off in her head now...like she should be going back. He did give her an uneasyness...she didn't know why though, but his smell was undoubtly that of something other than the living. A vamp...she thought. She hadn't came across one in a long time. It had been a while, but she would NEVER forget that scent...

Massacist - January 21, 2005 05:36 PM (GMT)
His eyes remained on her, though, no emotion seemed to register across his face, those blue eyes still seemed sad. Was he sad that the city has become so corrupted that you can't even walk alone without fear of being watched or touched or kidnapped, or worse, bit.

She smirked, and he only looked more saddened. He watched her walk on, his eyes still following her. So young, she looked so young. Not much younger then himself. So young and the city had already engulfed and corupted him.

"Strong hearts don't last long in a world like this." It wasn't a warning. His tone clearly said this. It wasn't an empty statment, he spoke to calmly, to matter-of-factly for it to be taken lightly. Though there seemed to be no emotion to his tones, he was trying to make himself understand by telling her.

"Go back. You shouldn't be alone out here. Anything can be out here." Then he added in a rasping whisper to himself, "hiding in the shadows waiting for you." Enyo had done that. Hidden and waited. Look at him now.

Kiaeda - January 27, 2005 10:20 PM (GMT)
She stopped and looked at the strange guy. The way he leaned agins the light post, that seemed to flicker majestically. Who was he? She knew what he was...and the game he was putting into play. Though what the outcome might be is what scared her...she hated not being informed.

She didn't think that he was out to help her either...but the advice he was giving wasn't for here...it should be for the general public...but she knew that they shouldn't be talking about his...

She stopped in the snow, turning on her heal...on a miled few feet from him and looked up at him. What reallly worried her was the saddness in his eyes. Normally she would have been saddened herself....being the girl she was, but she knew to keep her distance. She bet every last one of his claws that he wasn't sure what she was.

"I know the chances I take everyday, coming out at night but I don't have much of a choice...But you should be carful of who you converse with."

Massacist - January 28, 2005 12:33 AM (GMT)
All the better if I converse with something that will kill me.

This thought saddened him further and his shoulders seemed to sag. A few months ago he would have wanted to be immortal, but now this.

She'd stopped walking and his eyes remained on her, though, he didn't look into her eyes. He avoided this by looking at her face still, but at her lips. He knew from stories what a vampires gaze could do, and he was not going to risk that, especially not on a young woman alone.

"If you are so wise to what you are doing, then please, by all means," he uncrossed one arm and held it out in an 'after you' sort of sweeping guesture. "Continue. I'm sorry I interupted your solitude." It wasn't spoken sarcasticlly but with the tones of one who has tried something and failed.

He allows his gaze to wander freely up that the sky and brushes the snow out of his short hair and long bangs.

Kiaeda - February 5, 2005 02:08 PM (GMT)
Kia blinked couple of times...What? Is he backing off....did I scare him? she thought to herself, dropping her gaze. She didn't want it to happen that way... Now she felt a bit more guilty. She didn't continue to walk, but kept her feet planted in the deep snow.

Why is he so sad....I don't think I've seen any one in such a way... She knew it would be in her best interest to leave, for her own safety, but now her curiousity was getting the best of her...not to mention her conscious...Her gaze slowly rose up to him again. He wasn't looking at her any more, but up in the sky. All though she was not having the best of days...it couldn;t hurt to talk to him...

"It's...quite alright...I never have any solitude," she said softly. The tone of her voice less icy than before. "I understand what you are warning me of, but...many people wouldn't believe the warnings of a stranger..."

"...Though maybe you can answer my question...Why are you so sad?" she said simply. "Your gaze resembles that of someone who...has been mourning the world..."

Massacist - February 6, 2005 01:43 PM (GMT)
She hadn't moved, he didn't need to look at her to know that. He could still hear her breathing, still see the fog that rose into the icey air from her breath. He knew it was pointless but Morose hadn't yet stopped breathing, he refused to. He was already inhuman enough.

At least she stopped. At least she'd not continued on alone. Now if he could only get her to turn back and leave him alone. She was right of course, not many people heed the warnings of strangers, especially those who look and dress like he did. But it did make them curious...curious enough to...

"But you stopped and listened, did you not?"

His lips moved to silently form those words, repeating them to himself.

'Mourning the world'.

Then he shook his head.

"No. I'm afraid I'm more greedy then that." He brought his arms back around his chest again, one folded across his chest to hold around his side, the other hand held it's opposite shoulder. "I need not mourn for the world. It needs neither my sympothy nor my blessing to function."

He still didn't answer her question. If he could, he would beat around it for eternity.

Kiaeda - February 6, 2005 06:12 PM (GMT)
She didn't blink at his answer. He was right, the world wouldn't need one person to go on and if it lost that person it wouldn't care. This world is corrupt so what.

She titled her head a bit, continuing to look at him. She was very much aware that he had avoided her question. Beating around the rose bush... she thought. Kia could sense his irritation. Though such irritation rarely kept Kiaeda from her intentions. Since he wanted ever so much to get rid of her, and she had all the time in the world, she kept on with her questions.

She took a slim chance and took a few bold steps till she was standing closer to him, but not in arms reach.

"Hmmmm...You know, you are the oddest vampire I have came across," she said. She noticed his breathing. "Between breathing and your recoiling, I'm very surprised. I'm pretty sure that the other vampires would laugh at your discretion..."

Massacist - February 8, 2005 12:21 AM (GMT)
She'd taken steps towards him and his arms unfolded, coming to his sides, his boney fingers stopping in two closed, white knuckled fists. His body had stiffened, as if he was afraid of her but had nowhere to go, already backed against the light pole.

Quickly he stuffed his hands in his pockets.

Hmmmm...You know, you are the oddest vampire.....

That's all he heared. The rest was lost to the heavens. His eyes had fallen to the ground quickly, almost guiltily to the accusation.

How could she know? You can't possible know. It's impossible? Did you guess? I wore a scarff! It's covered! You can't see it! I hide it from everyone! You can't know! No one should know!

His thoughts grew from confusion to fear and then to anger. He felt it flare up inside his chest. Why was it always women! Why had only women confronted him? Angered..no...always enraged him. They always made him remember. He only steadily grew angrier until he heared his own voice blurt out in a croak:

"How can you know! You're not suposed to know!"

Kiaeda - February 8, 2005 09:14 PM (GMT)
She flintched slightly. What the...?was all she could think as she looked up at the lonely vampire. He was angry. Angry that she knew what she knew...No one would have normally known such things, and he certainly didn't expect her to have such knowledge by the looks of it...She, now, was just as uncomfortable as her was.

"You have no idea what I am do you?..." she asked softly, giving him a gentle gaze. He reaked of anger and fear. "I didn't read your mind or anything...I could smell it."

He was new...not knowing that even things like herself existed mostlikely.

"The worlds not that big. You can't expect to hide something like that. Especially from the nose of a werewolf..."

Why am I here explaining this to him...I should have left ages ago...Vampires and lycans have never been the best of friends... thought Kia as she looked down the street. Her silver eyes watching the passing cars.

Massacist - February 11, 2005 11:14 PM (GMT)
He glowered at her, the anger fading fast from his features and he struggle to remain angry. Angry was better then sarrow. And anything was better then hungry and tempted.

But at her first words, he looked more taken aback then he had angry. The thought that she may have, though now she denied it, invaded his mind hadn't occured to him. She could have been in his mind, invading his sarrow, invading memories of Zach, his only other two childhood troublemaking frineds, his only single fleeting memory of his parents before....

Now she was telling him....

"Impossible! Absolutly rediculous! There are no such thing as Werewolves...or were anythings for that matter!"

...well, that's what he would have said a few months ago...

"W...werewolf?" The skeptical tones were very obviously forced. If Vampires were real then werewolves had to be just as real. "Shit." His gaze dropped to the ground, red eyebrows forwarded low in thought.

Kiaeda - February 12, 2005 11:57 PM (GMT)
Kia laughed again. He was hilarious. He was a creature of the night but didn't know that other things went bump in the night. It was odd. very odd.

Maybe she put this all on him too fast. Well, atleast her hadn't attempted to bite her. That would have been pretty. Looking up at him, she could tell he needed little or no more drama for tonight. By the way he was taking this all in, he had been through enough...atleast he still wanted to be mortal. He wasn't a lost soul like most. He just wanted to forget what he had become, just like her.

She really wished she could read his mind, cause she had no idea what he was thinking.

Massacist - February 16, 2005 12:10 AM (GMT)
He shook his head in disbeliefe. Morose raised one, boney, shaking hand to his temple. He should be afraide. He should be running his skinny ass off. But he isn't. He's not frozen to the spot, though it wouldn't be hard to believe in such chill weather, but he's not running.

"Shit."

Maybe a few more ''shit's'' before he'd cleared his mind enough to make any sense to her. Ice eyes looked up at her, he shook his head, then turned his gaze to the sky. Then the lights in the distance, then at her feet. He shook his head again, forced a soft, unconvincing chuckle through his lips, looked at her. Then he forced another, louder, and less convincing chuckle.

Kiaeda - February 27, 2005 09:59 PM (GMT)
Was he freaking out on her or was it that hard to bear...To find out more on stuff that you didn't really want to know.

"Hey, could you let me in on what's so funny?" she asked, sheepishly.

'He's off his rocker...' she thought, shaking her head. She didn't know what to say to calm him down. He was laughing out of irony. It showed. How did you handle news like this? 'Oh yea, don't fuck with me, I'm a werewolf, rawr!'

She started to walk away, thinking that was best for him to be alone, if it may...

((sorry it took me so long...))

Massacist - February 28, 2005 11:29 PM (GMT)
He shook his head again, his fingers snaking to the cross that lay flat on his chest and grasped it tightly in the same hand that the cross-scar had been branded into.

His lips moved for a moment to form the silent words 'lord god have mercy. I can't take much more of this.'

"It's just that..."

She turned her back to walk away and he sighed, a cloud of fog lifting from his un needed breath. It wasn't so important for her to understand. He wasn;t sure he understood on his own. So he did not atempt to stop her, just watched her back saddly.

So. She was an outcast creature too.

Kiaeda - March 2, 2005 01:10 AM (GMT)
She stopped as she heard him speak…it as soft…but she heard it. She turned ever so slowly, looking back towards him. Watching as he continued to breath, as if he was still one of the living…he was wishing for this all to go away, and that she knew…

She didn’t take any steps towards him. She just looked, gazing across this shell of a man. It saddened her to see him in such contempt. There was nothing she could do-‘what was that?’ She looked towards his neck and tilted her head slightly. It was a cross. He was fighting the force of death as much as he could. So hard that the cross had little or no effect, then again…maybe he gained that ability. She then looked up at his eyes. The erie sadness frightened her now. Yet, she still had no idea what may have brought him to this dismay. Her eyes remained locked on his, before she said, “Do you miss life so much that you fight for the life you once had?”

Massacist - March 4, 2005 03:35 AM (GMT)

Morose's eyes rose once again to meet hers. His seemed to bore through her, trying to read her. Trying to understand her. The corners of his lips seemed to drag downward slightly, if it was at all possible to be further saddened, then pulled into a tight, sad smile. A smile that couldn't reach his eyes.

He'd realized just now what had made her say that.

"The breathing." It wasn't a question. "I know. She doesn't breath at all. And it means I probably don't have to eaither. But....it's eerie." She being Enyo, though, she wasn't expected to know this. "So final.”

Why was he telling her this? His fist tightened around the stone cross. Because,[I] his mind said in a matter of fact way, [i] At one time, she’d probably felt just as confused.

Kiaeda - March 5, 2005 01:24 AM (GMT)
"I wish I knew how you felt....but...I was born this way...I never knew a life other than this, like you," she said as she looked at her nails. They were much longer than she wanted them to be. "If breathing helps you feel human, then keep doing it. I don't feel human and never will."

Kia looked down the street, noticing a woman walking a dog on the other side of the street. "I have to fight the urge to kill anything I walk past, feeling torn as I remember that I am just as mortal as they are-yet a beast at the same time."

She turned back toward him, "Don't ever think you're alone. There is always someone in the same situation and maybe worse."

Massacist - March 8, 2005 02:24 PM (GMT)
He lowered his eyes to the ground as the person and his pet passed them by, supressing the urdge to warn the pair to go back as well. It wasn't safe. There were werewolves and vampires out here.

Don't ever think you're alone. There is always someone in the same situation...

"Yeah. The one whose done this to me."

Kiaeda - March 13, 2005 06:14 PM (GMT)
"As wrong as it may seem, she...killed you to keep her 'life' and revived you in guilt possibly," said Kia. "She did you a disjuctice in killing you, but you're still here aren't you?"

Living a normal life at that. Even so, you can still walk the earth.

"You can't go on living under a burden like this-Praying that someone will undo what was done. If you keep that cross, you will surely die in your sleep. It's an unecessary evil," she looked at him frowning. "If you want to keep looking for hope then that's the wrong way of doing it.

"Once you are what you are, you can't go back again, will or no will."

Massacist - March 17, 2005 12:51 AM (GMT)
“She did not revive me in guilt nor kill me to live. She killed me because she was bored and she was lonely. She killed me out of benefit for herself, which even after she’d done so, she regrets anyways.”

The words were sour in his mouth and sounded bitter on his tongue. He resented Enyo for what she’d done. And he resented her for confessing this to him. He would have rather not known.

Praying that someone will undo what was done. If you keep that cross, you will surely die in your sleep.

His head snapped up and his sad eyes were no longer sad. They were furious, burning with anger, making them seem only a brighter blue.

“What do you mean?”

It was a demand. So he was a little defensive about the religion and the cross. She wouldn’t have known that.

Kiaeda - April 10, 2005 04:28 PM (GMT)
Kia blinked. 'Did he just yell at me..' She really didn't like being yelled at.

"I'm speaking nothing but the truth. The cross is not your friend it should be your enemy. Are seeking death? That cross with burn right through you...a lot worse than the burn marks in you hands. God turned his back on you a long time ago and praying to him will only make him smite you. If you want to try to get over this...you need to stop killing yourself first."

She had tried to say that as nicely as she could. As far as she knew, he was once one of gods creations, but now he was of Satans kind and as long as the two continue to fight over who controls earth, you are either Holy, Hellish or none of the above.

"I'm only trying to help you..."

Massacist - April 10, 2005 05:51 PM (GMT)
Morose couldn't take thist was overwhelming to him that a little girl could think so in depth. Or that she could try to curve his faith.

"You do not understand what you of." Is that his way of calling her an ignorant child? Probably. The cross did not burn my hand and it does not burn my chest or my heart." Indeed, the scar in his palm is there because he'd been holding that cross so tightly it had broken through his skin, imprinted him. "God has not turned from me! God would never turn his back on a subject, even those who turn their backs on him!"

No. Now he was yelling at her. The previous had been a demand. This was shouting. This was hystarical shouting in defense of a god he couldn't be sure existed.

"I want to die. I want to keep killing myself. But the cross is not whats killing me." If anything, It's starvation. "I want to die but Jex won't let me." This last was spoken weakly.

Kiaeda - May 6, 2005 09:46 PM (GMT)
She flinched. She never met someone so infused on God before and it kinda worried her. A vampire that is looking to the heavens. He says that she didn't know what she was talking about and that god did care. Well, this god of his lacked the help that made a difference. She shook her head yet again, before looking into the lonely eyes of the stranger before her.

"You need to relax somewhere along the lines. You are letting this go to far. I can see it in the way you act. I can sense so much and it's just as confusing to you as it is to me. Though...this Jex you speak of...is close to you, why do you hurt him by hurting yourself. Dead or alive, I don't think this friend would want you to go on like this..." the young werewolf finally turned away from him. She had had enough of this sorrow. She had been out here too long. Talking to someone who refused to listen. Kia began to walk away, heading back the way she came. She was too exausted to talk to him anymore...
