ooc: Anyone can join. ^^
ic:
Anyone that looked at the boy wandering the streets that night, could easily tell there was something wrong with him. His face was extremely pale, alsmost to the point of looking completely lifeless. Almost all the clothes he wore were dirty and full of rips and tears. The only thing he wore that was actually clean was the full length black trench coat he was so very fond of.
His face had a look of annoyance on it, and his eyes showed fright. He wouldnt be able to go on like this forever. He would have to drink eventually. He rubbed at his throat, where the thirst constantly nagged at him. He couldnt take it. He shouldnt have ever run away, he needed his master to take care of him, to watch over him. He definately was everything but independent, and he should never of thought he could make it alone.

It was just how a virus should be spread. A virus to the city.
Her boots pound rhythmically against the sidewalks of the city, and a head lifts itself up to unglue its eyes gaze from the ground. The figure is very dark, not like she normally is. She's wearing simple black clothes, with a small leather jacket over herself. She has a somewhat small, petite figure, and only stands five foot two.
She carries herself not with grace, but with stealth, and somewhat like you would see a man walking like. But she's definitely a woman, and it shows.
Her sky blue eyes appear to be deathly focused on a man, and as she walks, her long, brown hair that she hadn't bother to put up bounces.
The man looks very annoyed, and suddenly, she stops just to stare at him. She's lurking in one of the corners, and lifts a cut up hand (the work appeared to be her doing) with a ciggarette in between two fingers up to her lips. One more drag left and the ciggarette is gone.
NutMeg - September 17, 2004 06:43 PM (GMT)
Scott continued walking. He seemed oblivious to the world. He had no idea what was going on. All he did was kept on walking. He was doing alot of walking lately, maybe because his legs were usually so stiff from lying around all day, or maybe it was just to keep him awake so he didnt fall asleep and just die. Anyway, he did alot of walking.
He felt as if he was being watched. But truthfully, he didnt care. Many people seemed to watch him these days, and sometimes he wondered if they knew about him. Sometimes he even expected people to jump up and come after him with pointy pitchforks. The only good thing was that hadnt happened yet.
A loud sigh escaped his lips, and he lifted his gaze, only for a second to curiously read the street sign next to him. The words were not familiar, and he found himself wondering if he had thought they would be.
Arcane Blood - September 17, 2004 08:05 PM (GMT)
Aris smothered her ciggarette against the side of a brick building, and then decided to walk again. She was swift, and moved almost silently. She even muffled the sound of her boots as she walked, and neared him. She liked to follow people. It was only in her nature, and her curiosity piqued her at this moment.
(Bleck. This one was horrible. Forgive me. :aww:)
NutMeg - September 17, 2004 08:11 PM (GMT)
(( Forgiven. Happens to the best of us. ^^ ))
He kept walking, just feeling a tad uncomfortable. Just a tad. The hair on the back of his neck stood, the feeling of being watched had been intesified. His own curiousity got the best of him, and he took a glance over his shoulder. Nothing out of the ordinary. Just a small, strange woman following him, staring intensely at the back of his head. He quickly turned his head back again.
His pace quickened, and he shoved his hands deeper into his pockets. He felt even more uncomfortable now that he knew that he was being watched. He kept walking at his quickened pace, trying to tune her out and just concentrate on what was going on around him.
Arcane Blood - September 17, 2004 08:33 PM (GMT)
She keeps walking, and following. She's not going to leave this man now. Now that he knows she's following him. She's just waiting to see what he does.
She sees him quicken his pace, so she does the same, but it's hard to tell because she's, as stated before, very quiet. And she keeps her eyes locked on him.
(I keep switching tenses. I meant the last reply to be in present tense. My brain's lagging. Sorreh.)
NutMeg - September 17, 2004 08:42 PM (GMT)
(( Again, no problem. ))
He again stole a glance over his shoulder, unfortunately being greeted with the same sight as before. His thoughts flew all over the place. He wanted to know why she was following him. He had never done anything to her, and he guessed she didnt know what he was, so there was no reason for her to be following him. He quickened his pace even more, basically speed walking at this point.
A turn for an alley came up, and he quickly used it to his advantage. He ducked into the dark alley, slowing his pace a little, keeping his head turned to watch if she followed him in. He didnt know whether she would, but if she did, he was certain he was going to go crazy.
Arcane Blood - September 17, 2004 08:47 PM (GMT)
She stops as he heads for the alley. She retreats to a sidewalk, brushing some of her brown hair out of her face. She watches as he ducks into the dark alley, and gives a smile. "You do know you look like a lost dog." She says, and then grabs her jacket and pulls it tighter to her slender figure. She's cold, like she usually is, and the street offers little heat to her.
"You shouldn't be out here... wandering," she adds, and then waits for his reply.
NutMeg - September 17, 2004 08:53 PM (GMT)
He turned back and took a few steps toward her, anger boiling in the depths of his stomach. His breaths came easy, even though he had been walking fast like that for quite a few minutes. His eyes showed his feelings, as usual, and now burned with anger, not to mention a little fright and confusion.
"Why were you following me?" He asked quite loudly, more like shouted. He was scared and confused, and couldnt help himself. The bottom of his trenchcoat waved by his feet as he stood there, looking at her helplessly. There had to be a reason. There'd better be a damn good reason.
Arcane Blood - September 17, 2004 09:12 PM (GMT)
"Why?" She smiles and chuckles softly at his anger. "Aren't you used to being followed by now?" She asks, looking straight at him. There's still an amused smile parting her lips upward slightly.
NutMeg - September 17, 2004 09:18 PM (GMT)
An incredilous look passed over his face. He had no idea what in the world she was talking about. What exactly did she mean 'by now'. Surely she didnt know he was a vampire. It made no sense, it wasnt possible that she knew, unless she was a vampire herself, and he doubted that very highly.
"What the hell are you talking about!" He was still extremely angry. He took another step towards her, not even aware of it. He wanted to know what was going on, right now. Hell, why did he ever have to come to this town.
Arcane Blood - September 17, 2004 09:32 PM (GMT)
"Hey, hey, calm down. All I meant was this is a crowded city. You kind of get used to it after a while." She shrugs. "I didn't meant to set you off. I just follow random people. It's a habit of mine." She puts a hand on the brick building beside her, soft voice untainted by an apparent accent still lingering in the air.
NutMeg - September 17, 2004 09:39 PM (GMT)
Another incredilous look. She just followed a few random people sometimes. Okay, there was something wrong with this chick. His mouth opened, but no words came out. He was dumbfounded. He turned around to face the alley, and then turned back, not know what to do.
"You just..follow people..." He mumbled softly to himself, rubbing his hand down his face, gently squeezing the bridge of his nose. He needed to get out of here. He needed to rest, and to feed. His stomach churned at the random though, and for that one second, he realized how bad the thirst had gotten.
Arcane Blood - September 17, 2004 09:42 PM (GMT)
"Of course. You're not used to this city, are you?" She asks with a quick raise of the eyebrows. "Do you have anything wrong with being followed?" She also asks. Then she thinks, and adds, "Eh, don't answer that one." It was quite obvious that this man wasn't used to being followed, and thought it was some big sin that she had committed. How... odd.
NutMeg - September 17, 2004 09:49 PM (GMT)
This woman was basically telling him that it was nothing out of the ordinary to follow people. How odd indeed. Yes, he wasnt use to this town, not used to it at all. He had been here a mere three days, and all ready wanted to leave and find some place else. He frowned deeply, settling himself down on an abandoned crate that was laying nearby.
"This is crazy." He muttered to himself, not caring if she heard or not. The only thing he heard right now was the steady beating of her heart, the blood pumping through her veins. God damn how he wanted to just jump up and drain her. But, he couldnt do that. That would be breaking his promise. He couldnt do that.
Arcane Blood - September 17, 2004 09:56 PM (GMT)
That's actually what she was saying. She sighs. "Well, I guess i shall be on my way then." She nods. "Hope you... uh.. Get used to this place I guess." She wasn't quite sure how to word that one. It puzzles her how this man isn't used to being followed. Oh well.
She turns around on the heel of her boot, but doesn't begin walking away just yet.
NutMeg - September 17, 2004 10:02 PM (GMT)
"Thats not possible."
He rubbed his temple momentarily before looking up at her. His fangs had retracted considerably, and were cutting his bottom lips, causing a slight blood flow. That didnt help his situation much. He watched her as she spun around, and waited for her to walk away. But she didnt. His brows furrowed curiously, and he watched her still. The thirst was overwhelming, almost out of control. He didnt know what to do.
Arcane Blood - September 17, 2004 10:11 PM (GMT)
"Of course it's possible." She says, then begins on her way, and doesn't turn around. "It just takes some time is all." She mutters, though loud enough for him to hear, unfortunately. She again brushes stands of brown hair out og her eyes.
She intends to leave the man alone now that she's made him angry and confused.
NutMeg - September 17, 2004 10:45 PM (GMT)
He watched her, not replying, and absentmindedly stood from the crate, he took a few steps forward, truly not knowing what he was doing at this point. It was either drink or die, and truthfully, he didnt want to die. He didnt say anything, just took a few steps for every few steps of hers.
He didnt know what he was doing. Now her was the follower, doing something he had just despised this girl for not to long ago. A deep frown was set upon his face, and his eyes reflected the light casting over the streets from the moon. It was his turn to follow.
Arcane Blood - September 17, 2004 11:02 PM (GMT)
Aris is too caught up about thinking about him to notice he's following right behind her. That man was so odd. She thinks, and continues to walk. She has a rather fast pace of walking for a short person, and she's heading back to her apartment.
She doesn't realize anything, for she's too far concentrated on her thoughts and her destination.
NutMeg - September 17, 2004 11:14 PM (GMT)
Scott decided to take an easier route. He quickly climbed up a fire escape nearby, and climbed up all the way to the roof of the building they were walking by. Once there, he contiued his pursuit. Maybe he would get extrodinarily lucky, and she would go down an alley or something, leaving him with the perfect oppertunity to strike.
Of course, he could always break into wherever she was staying with ease as well. No matter where she went, as long as the night continued on, he would be able to get her.
Arcane Blood - September 17, 2004 11:31 PM (GMT)
Aris continues on her way, staying silent, besides the sound of her nearly silent boots against the sidewalk. She is almost to her apartment building complex, and after a while, she comes to a stop, and walks up to the first door. She pulls a key out of her pocket and unlocks the door, and then heads into the building, up the stairs, and pulls another key to get into where she always stays. She has no suspicions whatsoever, and just enters with ease.
NutMeg - September 17, 2004 11:42 PM (GMT)
Scott smiled as she walked into the apartment building. Damn females, always picking the dificult ways. He quickly jumped up onto the roof, watching her closely as she entered the building. He leanedover as far as he could over the roof, watching the rooms intently.
He was watching for any sign of movement, or lights going on. He would go down to each and every room he noted, just to see if she was there. She was his prey now, and nothing would stop him from finding her.
Arcane Blood - September 18, 2004 03:18 AM (GMT)
She turns on the lights, and tiredly sinks in a spot on her couch. It feels soo nice after the day, and she closes her eyes. Then, being the fickle woman she is, gets up, raids the fridge, and get out an apple. She bites ito it contently, then just looks around. Her place is so neat you can eat off the floor and drink out of the toilets.
NutMeg - September 18, 2004 04:02 AM (GMT)
Scott caught a light go on in one of the lower room. He was off. He quickly scaled the building, using the widows and assorted balconies to climb. He eventually found himself at the room he had seen, and was amazed. The first room her had check, just happened to be the right room. It was as if God wanted this mortal dead, and wanted Scott alive.
Now, he just had to get inside. He lowered his hand and tryed to gently lift the window. It didnt budge. The damn girl had locked her windows. He quickly tried to think. He could go inside the building and break through the door, but that would be way incredibly easy. Finally, he had an idea. He snickered softly to himself, raising a hand and knocking softly on the window, watching her take a bite from the apple she had just retrieved.
Arcane Blood - September 18, 2004 04:11 AM (GMT)
What the hell? Who could be knocking right now? She doesn'tknow anyone to just knock at her door, especially at this time. She sighs softly, and makes her way to the door. "What is it you want?" She asks, sort of annoyed.
NutMeg - September 18, 2004 04:14 AM (GMT)
He watched her walk to the door, and almost chuckled softly. His fangs were still lowered, and were cutting painfully into his bottom lips, but at this point, he really didnt care. All he cared about right now was grabbing this mortal and drinking her dry.
He knocked again on the window, hoping she would turn around and recognize him to be over there. He found himself wondering what she would do when she found him there. He looked like quite a stalker at this point.
Arcane Blood - September 18, 2004 04:21 AM (GMT)
She needs to get her ears checked. She really does. She turns around to see Scott tapping on the window. Her brow inclines slightly. What does he want? She asks again, but turns around to the window and asks. "What the hell do you want?" Her voice is very firm. She hates it when people bother her in her apartment. She really had no tolerance for people like that.
NutMeg - September 18, 2004 01:37 PM (GMT)
He smiled wickedly as she walked over to the window. He motioned for her to open the window with his hands, a small reassuring smile on his face. His look was one of trust, hoping she would fall for hima nd open the window.
Of course, it was all a lie. Once she opened the window, he would attack. He seriously hoped she wouldnt fight to hard back, he wasnt exactly one who liked pain. He would have to possbly wrestle her the ground if she fought back, and he didnt want it to get like that.
Arcane Blood - September 18, 2004 01:41 PM (GMT)
"Go away. You can't come into my house; I don't know you." Boy, she was two-faced. She follows random people, but doesn't let anyone into her house. And, since Scott was a vampire(which she did not know) even if she decides to open the window, he cannot come in unless he is verbally invited into her apartment.
NutMeg - September 18, 2004 01:48 PM (GMT)
He made a sad face, and then a puppy dog face. If she wouldnt just let him in, he would need to work to get inside. He would mess with her heart. That always had a chance of working. He put both hands on the window before leaning his head on the window.
"Please?" He whispered softly, more motioning with his lips then speaking. He cocked his head to the side, and truly smiled. A beautiful site.
Arcane Blood - September 18, 2004 01:53 PM (GMT)
Puppy dog face. Smiles. Sadness. Some things she just can't resist, especially being a female. "Just a minute," she says, then wanders back into the kitchen and places her apple down on the counter. She walks back to the window, and she asks him a quick question. "What do you need in here?"
NutMeg - September 18, 2004 02:00 PM (GMT)
His smile lasted, maybe this would work after all. Another plan was developing in his head. Seduction. If he could only get her to let him in, if he played his cards right, he would be able to get her easily, with no fight. What a wonderful plan. Right now is the time he praised his good looks.
"I like you, I want to get to know you better." He smiled again, keeping his hands and head on the window, crouched on the windowsill. 'Come on' He pleaded softly in his head, dont let his boyish charms fail him now.
Arcane Blood - September 18, 2004 02:04 PM (GMT)
"Er," She begins. "Weeelll. I'm going to start dinner in a minute. If you want, you can come in." She opens the window. If he means any harm, she can easily shift her shape into something like a small animal and crawl under anything.
Ah, the advantages of being a shapeshifter.
She walks further to the window, opens it, and lets out a sigh. "You can come in," she repeats.
NutMeg - September 18, 2004 02:19 PM (GMT)
He smiled again, exactly what he was hoping for. He slowly jumped in as she opened the window, and looked around the apartment, pretending to actually be interested in the furnishings. He looked around again, and nodded briskly, returning his gaze to her with a slight smile.
"Nice place." He smiled again, not remembering when he had smiled this much. He hardly smiled at all, and here he was, grinning ear to ear. His jaw was starting to hurt.
Arcane Blood - September 18, 2004 07:40 PM (GMT)
"Eh. S'not much, but it's where I live." She shrugs offandedly. "You want anything to eat?" It's just a harmless question, nothing more. She doesn't have suspicions about Scott just quite yet.
"Oh, yeah. I'm Aris." She does not offer a hand, but instead walks back into the kitchen and picks up her apple once more.
NutMeg - September 18, 2004 11:58 PM (GMT)
Something to eat? Definately. But he would bet anything it was not something on the menu. He licked his lips and shook his head, his smile still lasting.
"No thank you. Scott." He widened his smile for a second. He turned around and frowned, rubbing his jaw before turning back, his smile being replaced. "Mind if I sit?" He looked down at the couch, and motioned with his head towards it.
Arcane Blood - September 21, 2004 10:18 PM (GMT)
"Alright, then." She shrugs. His loss, not hers. "No, go right ahead." She says, and then wanders back inot the kitchen again. What to make, what to make... Decisions, decisions. She's not entirely sure what she wants to make at this moment, and she opens the fridge to discover nothing really worth eating.
(Bleh. Crap post.)
NutMeg - September 21, 2004 10:32 PM (GMT)
He smiled, sitting gently on the couch. He lifted his arms over the top of the couch, finding it to be extremely comfortable, and turned his head to look at her. He found it rather effective to watch woman. They turned around, you smiled, and everything was okay. A soft smile rested on his lips now as he watched her.
He slouched down a bit in the couch, and ugly happit he had perfected during his mortal childhood. He sighed softly, resting his head on the back of the couch so his neck wouldnt cramp as much as he watched her find something to eat. He was suddenly aware of what he was doing, and he instantly felt as if he were being punched in the stomach repeatedly. But, he was all ready here, and now, there was no going back.
Arcane Blood - September 21, 2004 10:37 PM (GMT)
"You sure you don't want anything to eat?" She asks again, then dismisses it. "Actually, nevermind. There's nothing here anyway." She adds, picks up her apple again, takes a bite out of it, finishes it off, and then throws it in a nearby trash.
"And what exactly did you plan to do again?" She's already forgotten. "Er, I forgot." She admits shamefully.
