Alia strolled through the many rows of books in the store. She came here often to look and see if they had any new computer books. She always liked finding out new things about them. But computer books weren't her only interest. She looked through the books under the sci-fi section. She read them to find out what crazy technology an author could come up with that might occur in the future. Most were unrealistic in her eyes.

She is wearing jeans that sort of flare out at the bottom and a black sleevless shirt that says 'Computer Geek' in white lettering. She wore black sandals with no socks. Her blonde hair was tied back into braided pigtails and her emerald green eyes looked brighter than usual in the lighting.

She had gotten off work a few hours ago and went home to change first before coming to the book store. She made an effort to always come at least once a week.

Her eye caught a glance at a rather thick book with dust on it. Her curiousity forced her to pull it off the shelf and look at the title, 'The Abyss'. It was about traveling to the bottom of the ocean with, by the looks of the cover, some pretty high tech equipment. Finding a table near by, she sat down and started reading it. Crossing her right leg over her left, she sat very proper. Most would find it probably uncomfortable, but she was raised this way.

Alia was soon deeply absorbed by the book.

Surprise surprise; it's Lucifer.

He was huddled away in a small corner, away from most of the bookstore. In fact, you could hardly see him, if even that. You'd have to go through a few things first before finding him.

He sighed. His green eyes were completely focused upon his notebook, in which he had scribbled down a bit of poetry. He was also taking notes on a magical illness in which he knew he had. It was pretty depressing to know, actually, and he had to stay away from people, for he feared he'd hurt them.

His hair was cared for, but it was just down, and it brushed up against his face. He hadn't heard anything else around him, for he was too concentrated on what he was doing.

He's wearing a leather trench, a black button down shirt with red lacing at the bottem, and his black leather pants. He's in a surprisingly dreary mood today.

Alia looked at her nice Rolex watch. Her father had given it to her for her birthday. She didn't wear it often, for she thought it attracted unwanted strangers sometimes. She had been reading the book for an hour. She decided she wasn't in the mood to buy it, however she would come back at a later date to get it. She closed the book and set it back on the shelf.

Walking towards the front, she noticed somebody sitting at a table. She recognized the all black style of Lucifer. He always seemed to pop up everywhere she went. It was kinding entertaining, considering he was the only real person she had conversations with outside of family and work. She decided to see what he was up to.

Slowly she walked over to him and sat down in a chair across the table.

"Hello Lucifer. What are you up to today?" She said smiling from ear to ear. She was in an especially good mood this afternoon.

He lifted his head from his chicken scratches on the paper, then glanced up to see Alia. What a funny thing. It almost seemed like he was stalking her from the way he was always right where she was all the time. "Hello Alia," he said slowly. His voice was awfully unnaturally quiet and reserved.

If he had heard her approach, he might have asked to be left alone for certain reasons, but since she was already there, he said nothing. "Just researching something. And writing mindless drabble."

The book he was researching was to the left of him, and he'd read it about three times already. "You?" He asked, subconsciously pushing himself away from her. He'd been edgy around people ever since his last incident with black magic.

Alia looked at Lucifer. He was more mellow and reserved than usual. Well, at least from the few times she had seen him.

"Are you alright? Your more quiet than normal." She was not afraid to ask questions that might offend somebody. She was curious by nature and always wanted to learn and help others. She thought about his question on what she was doing.

"I was just reading a book." She said with a concerned face. She was still worried about what was wrong.

Arcane Blood - September 11, 2004 04:12 AM (GMT)
"Oh... yeah." His face was a little bit more pale than the last time he'd seen Alia. Perhaps because of the accident. Perhaps because of lack of sunlight. Whatever it was, he was paler.

"Ehhhhhyeah. It's just this book." He motioned toward the book, still pushing himself away. He didn't know he was doing it, either. Kind of like biting your nails. It became a habit of his to push away from every one. Ever since he had been with Enyo that night he'd became a little bit more weird.

He was still quieter than he should've been, even in a store.

You could see worry was written all over Alia's face. She wasn't buying his story of being okay. His face was pale, he was quiet and he was withdrawing from her.

"Are you ill?" She wanted to feel his forehead to see if he had a fever, but knew it was best not to touch him. He might not like it.

Arcane Blood - September 11, 2004 04:59 PM (GMT)
"I guess you could say that," he said, but hadn't meant phsyically ill. He meant... well, magically ill.

By this time, his mind had convinced himself he was far enough away from her, so he sat in silence until she decided to reply.

"Well maybe you should go home and lay down then, if your not well." She wasn't sure what she could do for him, but she wanted to do something. She finally noticed the book he had laid out on the table.

"What's that about?" She asked as she was about to reach over and look at it.

Arcane Blood - September 11, 2004 09:38 PM (GMT)
"It's not that bad," he shrugged. It was bad, but he knew she was talking about phsyical illness.

"Oh, nothing." He replied to the comment about the book. He wwanted to reach over and grab it away, but then at that moment was when he realized that he'd moved quite a way away from her. The book was about magic, and he wasn't sure whether she was unnish or not. That slightly worried him.

foreverchanging - September 11, 2004 09:53 PM (GMT)
She took the book in her hands and flipped through the pages. It had a lot of magic spells in it and ingredients to make them. She looked up from the book and at Lucifer.

"Do you have a magical illness?" She looked slightly worried, but not at all surprised that it was about magic.

Arcane Blood - September 11, 2004 09:59 PM (GMT)
He nodded slightly. He couldn't stop her now. He saw her flip through the pages. "Yes," he said quietly. He wasn't quite sure what she would think or say to that.

He tried to piece together a sentence that made some sense, but instead just stayed quiet after that.

foreverchanging - September 11, 2004 10:18 PM (GMT)
"How serious is it?" She had read some magic books before, but didn't know much about illnesses. By the looks of him though it wasn't a little sickness.

"I'm innish Lucifer, you can tell me. I might be able to help." She said with a serious look.

Arcane Blood - September 12, 2004 12:01 AM (GMT)
"I... I'm not exactly sure." He was frustrated that he didn't know. He knew it'd only hurt people so far, but didn't even know how serious or deadly it was.

His voice was entirely serious, and his face was straight. "It could hurt you. I don't want to hurt you," he mumbled slightly.

foreverchanging - September 12, 2004 12:20 AM (GMT)
"Well. Let's start with what symptoms you are having. If you really are hurting people we need to stop it before you do hurt anyone else." She waited to see if he would tell her what had been happening to him or not.

Arcane Blood - September 12, 2004 12:25 AM (GMT)
He wanted her to stop speaking like a doctor. He hated that. He hated doctors. But he said nothing of it. "If dissapearing under solid ground suddenly is a symptom, then I sure as hell would say I have it. Let's just say, random occurings like that are bad, and I can see people die when it happens. Heard of anything like that?"

foreverchanging - September 12, 2004 12:37 AM (GMT)
Alia turned pale. "No I believe that is a new one for me." She felt bad that she couldn't do anything for him. She flipped through the pages of the book again, not knowing what to look for.

Arcane Blood - September 12, 2004 12:41 AM (GMT)
He knew that'd be her answer. He folded his hands on his lap, realizing something. "I might have to stay away from you for a while, Alia. That is, unless you want to end up dead on the pavement." His tone was as sad as his voice at this time.

foreverchanging - September 12, 2004 12:51 AM (GMT)
"Are you telling me to leave then?" She was sad to hear this, but wasn't sure what else she could do. She just stared at him glumly.

Arcane Blood - September 12, 2004 10:32 AM (GMT)
He didn't know what to tell her. He got up and grabbed his tuff when he got to the table. "All I'm saying is that you should stay away from me if you know what's good for me." He was very sad to say that. He didn't want to, but it seemed he... had to.

foreverchanging - September 13, 2004 11:23 PM (GMT)
Alia was saddened at hearing this, but respected Lucifer's wish. She stood up and smiled. "It's your choice." She paused for a second. "Take care of yourself." She then left him and walked out the front door of the bookstore, heading back to her house, or maybe a drink at the local pub.
