Title: Alcohol and insanity.
Description: A interesting mix. (Reserved)

Crazy_Kitty - September 5, 2004 05:27 AM (GMT)
Having bounced the whole way to the pub humming the infernal song known only as '100 bottle of beers on the wall', Idrius was fairly thirsty. And he was even thirstier when he remembered he wasn't the one paying for the drinks tonight-

Ah, the joys of 'friends'.

His wings, black and soft and generally petable, were hidden beneath a long, black coat. Even he wasn't fool enough to walk into a pub with them out and in plain veiw, and certainly not this pub. It had the strongest beer he knew about, but that didn't change the fact that nearly everyone here was sporting a gun or two, and most of them were criminals.

Well, Degla should fit right in here.

Swaying from side to side, he promptly chose the nearest table and flopped down with a sigh of relief, propping his feet up on the chair opposite and rocking back; Completely at ease despite the predatory way he was been eyed by some of the other patrons. Idri was insane, but he certainly wasn't defenseless...

"Reeemmmeemmberrr, your payyying."

Massacist - September 5, 2004 05:51 AM (GMT)
Degla had followed the idiot, his eyes on the angel the entire time, watching him bounce with every step. Didn’t the damned creature ever tire? Even his kid sister couldn’t bounce for that long!

“And who exactly said I was paying for you?” He asked in his usual…no only voice, the flat emotionless one. He was off course, going to pay, assassins get paid well more then the job was worth if they knew how to employer right, and all Degla had to do was stare with that empty gaze, knife in hand, and his employers offered to up the price on some random man’s head. But hell, something else to let Idri chew on for a while.

The surroundings never went unnoticed to Degla but he took them in unaffected by the tough men who wore leather and weaponry here but while alone probably slept in something short and sexy and feminine. Usually the ones who tried to look tough, turned out to be pansys. But never the less, a comfort came to the feeling of the knife strapped to his thigh under the loose pants, perfectly concealed and undetected.

Crazy_Kitty - September 5, 2004 06:04 AM (GMT)
He wasn't paying for him? he had to pay for him! He didn't bring any money. And he certainly didn't want to have to charm anyone into handing over their cash- That took to long, and everyone here was meaaannn. He didn't like mean people. They tended to try and do mean things to him. And then he gets blood all over his clothes.

Their blood, of course.

"But you have to pay." He whined at him, leaning forward over the table to rest his chin on the scarred wood and starring up at him pitifully, looking for all the world like a spanked puppy. A very adorable spanked puppy.

Hey, the look worked on just about everyone else.

(Big thunderstorm brewing outside.)

Massacist - September 5, 2004 06:20 AM (GMT)
But it didn’t work on Degla. If anything, his empty eyes completely reflected everything within him. Emptiness. He didn’t care about anything...well, Ronnie, but that was it. Nothing else mattered to him. And dogs? He could care less.

His blue gaze empty, his face barely amused. He leaned over as well, his own chin almost touching the table, leveling his gaze with Idrius’. “What do I get in return?” He asked. Well, give nothing for nothing.

The assassin sat back up, shoulders straight, back slouched slightly. He pushed back a few pesky strands of red hair from his eyes.

Crazy_Kitty - September 5, 2004 06:26 AM (GMT)
"What do you want?" He tilted his head to one side, still pouting, although he lessened the intensity of the 'Love me, i'm adorable' look, since it didn't seem to be working at all on Degla. Ah well, that was the problem with assasins. They didn't tend to have soft spots for cute things.

Rather unfortunate, all things considered. He was a cute thing, after all. But he really didn't like the look that was being pointed his way. it didn't bode well- His toy wasn't some sort of pimp, was he? That wouldn't be nice at all.

Even if he would get lots of drinks.

Massacist - September 5, 2004 06:50 AM (GMT)
Of course Idri was a cute think, Deg hadn’t over looked the fact. But it didn’t matter. Lots of men and women were cute, and they didn’t mater either. But he knew one thought that Idri might be considering. Dangerous terf there when your dealing with someone that doesn’t care.

A rare smile passes his lips. An actual amused smile, though his eyes remain empty of all emotion. He would say it, but he wouldn’t put it past the angel to accept even the lowest for just one drink.

“Nothing Idri. Nothing you can give me.” Then another thought. “What if I say I’ll buy if you never bother me nor Ron, the girl I was with, ever again? What would you say to that?”

Crazy_Kitty - September 5, 2004 06:58 AM (GMT)
"Well, I can't say yes to that. It'll take to long to find another peerson. If you buy, I won't bother your sister-person, mmk? That's fair..." His voice was sing-song rather then a whine, nibbling idly on a bang that had fallen over his face. He wasn't going to leave his toy, not now- It was his toy, and he was useful! He had money! And people were scared of him!

And he didn't seem like he was going to go on a murderous rampage and stab him. Which was a good thing- Stabbings huurrtttt. Even if daggers were shiny. He like shiny things. He also liked his new toy, who carried shiny things. Even if he was mean and tugged on his hair.

Massacist - September 5, 2004 07:12 AM (GMT)
Degla didn’t hesitate or even think about it for a moment before he nodded. “Done. I pay but you can never lay one hand on her, never go within a hundred yards of her.” Very protective brother. He took out his wallet from his pocket and opened it. He looked at Idri.

“There’s a two hundred dollar limit tonight Angel,” he said, then looked around. “What do you have to do to get some service around here?”

Crazy_Kitty - September 5, 2004 07:18 AM (GMT)
"I'll never hurt your sister." He announced cheerfully. "I don't lie, so you can trust me as much as you can trust anyone who dosn't lie, which should be a awful lot. And 200 bucks is fine, fine. Maybe you should go to the counter?" He was beginning to get fidgetty, shifting a bit and drumming his fingers on the table. He wanted, needed, a drink, and therefore Degla should go get him a drink. He was thirsty..

Massacist - September 5, 2004 07:37 AM (GMT)
“Maybe you should go to the counter.” NOT a suggestion. It was a flat statement that said more along the lines of ‘I’m not going to go no matter what’ rather then ‘you go.’ He knew Idri needed a drink. And he knew if he didn’t go, eventually the angle would. “Here.” He gave him a ten dollar bill. “Get me something too. It doesn’t matter what, just something to get drunk on.” Or Try to get drunk on is more like it. His body didn’t seem to like obsorbing alcohol./

Crazy_Kitty - September 5, 2004 07:46 AM (GMT)
The moment the note was in his hand he leapt up and swished his way to the counter to order two vodkas. Not cruisers- Those weren't drinks, those were like.. Red cordial. The real stuff. Hopefully in pints; When Idrius went to get drunk, he went to get very drunk. Infact, he was so intent on thinking on what alcohol he would get that he was completely oblivious to one of the much bigger people in the back, who looked a little bit like a mobster crossed with a steroid munching body builder.

Massacist - September 5, 2004 07:52 AM (GMT)
Degla watched the addict jump up and run to get his addiction. He shook his head. It was sad that someone, even a crazy angel, could be so addicted to something. If Degla had any feelings, he might just feel sorry for Idrius.

But he didn't.

He slouched and waited for the angel to return.

Crazy_Kitty - September 5, 2004 07:59 AM (GMT)
It was hard to tell what the bigger one said into Idrius's ear, but the 'angel' smiled grimly and shook his head while the bartender went to get the drinks- Idrius didn't say what he wanted, but he had been here enough times before. But the man, whoever he was, was clearly insisting, blocking Idrius when he tried to step away.

The next movement happened faster then most could follow. His elbow slammed into the mans windpipe as he promptly kneed the guy in the balls (A most cruel and painful thing) and finished it off with a quick kick to the kidney, before grabbing the waiting drinks and jumping over the fallen male to swish back towards Degla.

No one even batted a eye, to busy drowning there sorrows to pay attention to the groaning man on the floor. "Got theeem!"

Massacist - September 5, 2004 08:09 AM (GMT)
He shook his head, sitting calmly and silently when Idrius returned. He took his drink and swallowed, almost finishing the drink. “What was that about?” He asked, before taking another smaller drink, savoring the burning sour flavor. One hand pushed back a strand of hair again and his empty gaze went to the man on the floor, then returned it to Idri. “Making friends are we?”

Crazy_Kitty - September 5, 2004 08:16 AM (GMT)
He blinked, looking back at him, then shrugged and began sipping at his drink at a measured pace- He didn't want to get to drunk, to soon, y'see. Then he'd have a worse hangover tommorow, if he even remembered what he did tonight. He didn't remember much.. He didn't want to.

Memory was overrated.

"Oh, he was just silly and wanted to sleep with me."

Massacist - September 5, 2004 08:18 AM (GMT)
Degla was begining to try and convince himself that drinking was overrated. All he wanted was to drown himself in alcohol and forget everything, but that never seemed to happen, neaither did a hangover.

"So you hit him." He sighed. It reminded him of having to tell his tom boy sister to play nice. "You couldn't have just followed him home?" He wasn't secretive about wanting to be rid of Idri.

Crazy_Kitty - September 5, 2004 08:21 AM (GMT)
"He's ugly and mean /and/ a idiot. Why would I want to follow him home when I have you?" He paused and starred down at the drink thoughtfully, then downed the rest of it with a saited smile. Unlike Degla, Idri could and would get very, very drunk.

Massacist - September 5, 2004 08:26 AM (GMT)
When I have you?

There was that possessivness. He rolled his eyes and downed the last of his drink as well. That thoughtful expression on Idri's face and Degla wondered what Coherent thought could have flitted through his mind at that moment.

"What?" He asked, pushing the glass back towards Idri, empty.

Crazy_Kitty - September 5, 2004 08:34 AM (GMT)
"What's what?" His head snapped up, dark eyes blinking as he grinned in his usual deranged manner. They needed another drink- Alot of another drinks. After all, even Degla seemed to want to get drunk, and therefore they should get very, very drunk!

Drinkingdrinkingisfunyayfordrinking...

Massacist - September 5, 2004 08:39 AM (GMT)
"Nevermind," he replied and slid a few more bills over to Idri. He was right, they did need more drinks. Degla watched Idri sit a look stupid in his little world and he was breifly glad that his insanity was locked inside of him. Of course the schizophrinia wasn't but that was becoming less with his medication.

Crazy_Kitty - September 5, 2004 08:50 AM (GMT)
Idrius's insanity was a part of him, his personality, his mind all twisted by it; It was his survival instinct at times, and the thing that kept him from his memory, and the things lurking within. He didn't even think about what he'd be like without it- The thought had never struck him.

"Can't you go get it nooow?"

Massacist - September 5, 2004 09:01 AM (GMT)
He thought about that for a moment and shrugged, getting up and making his way straight through the crowd. It seemed people moved for him, skinnier and less muscular then they were, they still moved, and those who didn't he pushed passed without breaking that straight line. It's the eyes, that emptiness frightened most people. Those eyes only belonged in a dead mans face.

Degla wasn't confronted, though stared at enough, both because he was also fairly attractive, because his eyes drew attintion, and because his red hair stood out. He returned moments later with four drinks, holding the cups tightly between his fingers he set them down and sat back down. This was how you drank...if only you could get drunk.

Crazy_Kitty - September 5, 2004 09:32 AM (GMT)
He snatched two of the cups the moment he sat down, immdiatly starting on them. He was a addict, and he knew it- Even through the insanity, the deranged happiness that buoyed him, he knew he was addicted, and he knew it was bad, but he sure as hell couldn't stop.

Massacist - September 5, 2004 10:00 AM (GMT)
Degla shook his head, at the rate Idri drank, and how drunk he'd been last time Degla had seen him, he had to wonder how the angel had possibly remembered his face, let alone his name.

He took up one of his own and downed it, taking the second of the two slower. This wasn't going to work. He should at least be feeling something by now. Nothing. Damn it.

Now what was he suposed to do to pass the night. He didn't have anyone to 'take care' of tonight. He watched Idri silently.

Crazy_Kitty - September 5, 2004 10:07 AM (GMT)
"Your not looking very drunk." His voice was only slightly slurred and strangely sharper then usual, regarding Degla with suddenly cold eyes. Amusing- The drunker he got, the saner he tended to act. Untill he hit the point where the world was spinning so much he couldn't tell you want country he was in. Then he was properly drunk, and therefore would go and get more drinks.

Massacist - September 5, 2004 10:15 AM (GMT)
Degla nodded. "You noticed too?" His voice was thick with empty sarcasm. He drank the second of the two drinks, not feeling anymore drinks. He leaned forward, one arm on the table, fingers tapping. Nothing usually got to him but recently there seemed to be three things that could get under his skin so to speak.

Rhonwen was one of them. She knew every button to push. The other two, Idri and trying to get drunk.

Crazy_Kitty - September 5, 2004 10:56 AM (GMT)
"You need more drinks!" He waved his empty glass, smiling- But the look as hollow, the happiness that had come to him so easily numbed by the drink, leaving only that empty, clawing sensation in his mind. Atleast th pounding headaches that followed a drinking session kept him from trying to be coherent.

Massacist - September 6, 2004 12:24 AM (GMT)
He leaned his head forward, propping his elbow up onto the table, the side of his forehead on his fist. This wouldn't last long. At the rate that Idri was drinking, his two hundred dollar limit would be up.....and very soon. He tossed another couple of dollars at Idri and srained his second cup. "You go." He murmured, almost miserably. He wasn't going to get drunk, he knew it already, and already he was slipping into his own uncomprehensible world.

Crazy_Kitty - September 6, 2004 06:56 AM (GMT)
Swaybouncesway. Idrius ordered another round of drinks with a smile and a wink, looking almost insane as he returned to the table and resumed drinking it as if he had just run a marathon through the desert. Once the 200 dollar limit was up, he'd just have to start on someone elses 200 dollar limit..

Or get a tab.

Massacist - September 14, 2004 02:15 AM (GMT)
He watched Idrius, eyes emotionless, his facial expression clearly disappointed. How could someone like that be drunken all the time, yet someone like himself couldn't get drunk, ever, even if he tried every night?

Still, frustration isn't shown, though it's apparent.

Crazy_Kitty - September 14, 2004 02:27 AM (GMT)
"Mmm.." His expression is thoughtful, insane as he eyes Degla. A tasty morsel, if only he could relax. It must be quite boring, been so serious all the time..

Not that he'd know about that sorta thing. What he did know was that he needed something to do, something that maybe could crack the mask on the other.

Hence, with two drinks in hand and infinte grace, the dark angel flopped down into Deglas lap and grinned up at him. "Now, where we were? Besides here. We are here, right?"

Massacist - September 14, 2004 03:42 AM (GMT)
Degla looks up at the Angle, not at all startled by this little scene. A few nights ago, the assassin would have been supried if someone walked over to him, such a serious man with dead eyes, and sat down on his lap without question he would have been suprised. He also might have slit their throat. But now, it wasn't a suprise, being who it was and all.

Degla's blue eyes came up to meet the angels and he took the drink away from him and began to down it. Before he finished it, he lowered it and looked at the angel again.

"Yes, we are here. But where we were...well where you were I'm not sure." He indicated the angel sitting on his lap, raised red eyebrows.

Crazy_Kitty - September 14, 2004 03:59 AM (GMT)
"Well, if your here, i'm quite clearly here, and i'm on you if your here." Quite content with his new seat he sipped more sedately his drink, leaning back into him. He was alot more comfortable then the hard wood, suprisingly. Idri had for a moment mused that maybe he was made of wood, so expressionless.

But no, he was to comfy to be anything but blood and flesh with the occasional bone.

Massacist - September 14, 2004 04:08 AM (GMT)
Idrius leaned back against him and he contemplated grabbing his throat and giving it a good squeeze. But he decided against it. In some strange way, while Idri was still highly annoying and a great nusance, he'd grown on Degla. Probably because Degla himself was so serious that the idiot drunkard was a form a child to him. Ronnie used to be that, but she was growing up.

Degla grabbed an handful of the Angel's Ass and shoved Idri, possibly painfully, off his lap onto the wooden booth seat next to him.

"You're not on me here anymore."

He replied this flatly.

Crazy_Kitty - September 18, 2004 05:09 AM (GMT)
(XD My mother loves the crow. Sorry about this reply taking it so long)

"Why are you always so mean?" He whined from his new position clumsily settled on the wooden, uncomfortable seat- The angel positively pouting up at him even as he attempted to steal Deglas drink. Why was Deggy so mean? And cold. But not really cold- He was quite warm and snuggly. But cold in a way that wasn't warm and snuggy..

Massacist - September 18, 2004 05:15 AM (GMT)
((I do too. And don't worry about it.))

He leaned over towards Idrius until his lips were beside the angel's ear and he was breathing hot breath on the drunkards neck. He pulled his drink back, away from Idri before he spoke.

"It's in my nature." He then sat back up, straight, laying one arm across the back of the booth.

Crazy_Kitty - September 21, 2004 11:22 AM (GMT)
How could cold be warm and snuggly?

That was the question he was musing on in his disjointed mind, the glass hanging forgotten from his fingertips before the assasin drew him sharply from his rocky little train of thoughts and flung him completely onto another line.

Nature. Nature was birds and bees and trees that squished cars and man wasn't nature at all- Because humans were things that destroyed nature, and nature wasn't a cannibal and oh dear he really hadn't thought this much while getting drunk for a long time..

"Nature can be changed." He leant forward with a blank smile plastered on his face. "Memories can be forgotten. Habits can be dropped. No one really has a true identity- So why don't you forget about your nature and come have some fun?"

(If he starts getting really weird, it's because i'm so tired that i'm probably giving him some of my habits. (And yes, I really do think like that, to the despair of all teachers who try to begin debates in my class.) And mmm Crowness. )

Massacist - September 21, 2004 03:20 PM (GMT)
"Nature can be changed. Memories can be forgotten. Habits can be dropped. No one really has a true identity- So why don't you forget about your nature and come have some fun?"

A smile slunk onto his lips, slowly. As if someone were molding it there. Idrius, a drunken Angel, doused in alcohol, had just said what Degla could get no one else to understand. No one has an identity because no one is individual. The world was just a mass production of copy cats and screw overs. Habits can be dropped, Memories can be forgotten, nature can and will change...lives can be taken away.

Even his smile did not place any emotion in his blue, empty eyes. But it softened his features. He lifted the cup and took a long drink, emptying the contents, and set it down again. He wasn’t opposed to having fun with someone who could actually understand. But there is a problem. He wants to get drunk, and Degla can’t seem to manage that.

“Get me drunk, Angel,” he didn’t move back when Idri moved closer. “And I’ll have some fun.”

Crazy_Kitty - September 22, 2004 09:05 AM (GMT)
He laughed in delight as the other smiled- Oh yes, this would be fun. Now, what could he use to get him drunk, besides copious amounts of money and alcohol (The money he didn't have, and the alcohol he'd rather drink himself.)

Well, better alcohol! There had to be stronger stuff, because theres always stronger stuff. Stronger people, stronger creatures.. And always stronger drinks.

"Now thats more like it, Deeegla. Whats your posion?"

A drunken, strange and broken screwover, but he was good at the art of getting-other-people-blown.

Massacist - December 31, 2004 04:05 PM (GMT)
He did not answer the Angel because in all honesty, he did not know. He'd never been able t o drink himself into a stupper with any drink he'd tried. Instead, he remained silent, sitting straight with the drunken angel on his lap and in his face.

At least Ronnie wouldn't be submitted to this. She would grow up the right way. He'd make sure of it.
