There have been jin before on this site, so I would take the position of saying a jin, genii, imp or sprite (et cetera) would be allowable as long as you understood the parameters.
Jin, theoretically, have the power to grant things that would be considering of a god-moding or power-playing nature, so do not fail to be moderate with your creation.
