Title: Boredom in the Mall
Description: Not quite fun.

Arcane Blood - August 31, 2004 04:58 PM (GMT)
He's bored. He's always bored. The mall's the perfect place for boredom, right? Not quite.

After all, what would entertain a nineteen year old male in the mall? Probably nothing. This place is worse than being bored, after all. He doesn't much enjoy it, and forgets why he's here.

There's always the music shops. And those funny little pitiful stores that try and sell clothes, but only manage to sell one article of clothing per... day, you could say. Or at least it seems that way. He always laughs when he walks by that store. It's simply just funny like that. Of course funny in a way only Lucifer would know. He's just weird like that.

But today, he decides to browse that funny little clothes store. Because it's funny, and he's, as stated earlier, bored out of his skull.

The clothes aren't too bad. Nothing Lucifer would be caught dead wearing, but not too bad. Not those kind of things you'd see teens walking around in, either. He laughs, and then realizes he never wanted to be caught dead in this store.

Oh well. Boredom strikes again.

He's smoking, but then, it is unusual to see Leesh without a cigarette in hand. If this happens, it means that he would be on the lookout for one - either bumming one off a passerby, pocketing one surreptitiously from a shop (for Leesh usually had no money, for he didn't have a job, but such lack of things never stopped him from acquiring possessions of his own). In any case, he's smoking, and as he sucks on the filter of the cigarette smoke is pulled into his body (which appears as one in his late teens, much like the one he is watching) but does not come back out, for anyone who has bothered to notice. And most usually don't.

Leesh had not yet been accosted for smoking his cigarette in what was supposed to be a 'smoke free zone', but this was not for lack of making a display of himself. He was upon a bench that was usually reserved for tired shoppers to rest upon between their shop visits, but not seated upon it, rather he was standing, so he could tower over others heads, and have a lovely view of people.

He enjoyed watching others, and was watching now as one fellow was in a very unlikely clothing shop, with a cheese-eating grin which turned into laughter, and then he exited.

Leesh addressed him from his place upon the bench, which was only five feet away, past people who milled around them.

"I wonder why you went in there," he gestured between the one he'd watched and the shop he'd come out of before hopping down, so he could stroll up to the other. Leesh tapped ash onto the shopping centre floor, standing in the others 'personal space' as he did so, for want not to be ignored.

Damnit. People and their mouths. They could never quite keep them shut.

He extends his spider-like fingers and reaches towars his face, tucking a half red, half white lock of hair behind his ear. He raises an eyebrow slightly at the man standing before him. "And I suppose I wonder why you were just standing on that bench right there," he never answers his question, and never really intends to. He's just good at avoiding things like that.

Leesh took a puff of the cigarette even as he grinned at the reply, looking at Lucifer slyly through his dusky eyelashes. "I like being tall," he replied, uncaring of his own question unanswered. He was a touch shorter than most others, when on his own two feet. "Those clothes wouldn't suit you," his gaze shifted to the store near where they stood - as though he were some sort of fashion expert - and now he allowed himself a lingering look at what the other currently wore.

"Well you're not that short when you stand," he says, then brushes a hand against his blue jeans. They've got holes in them, unlike his tight black sleeveless shirt. It's new, obviously. "Who ever said they would?" He inquires. He's being a smart ass.

"You wer going to purchase clothes that didn't suit you?" Leesh asked with curiousity in his tone while he appraised Lucifer. He could tell that the other had quite some animosity towards him, but Leesh couldn't figure out why. Wasn't Leesh simply too adorable to dislike? He thought so.

A quirk of one of his brows. He tilts his head, lips unsmiling, and he slouches, one hand resting on a rather flimsy stand; the youth doesn't weigh enough to disrupt it all too much.

"Who said I was planning to buy anything?"

He stares at Leesh with his large green eyes, then slips one hand in his pocket.

(OOC: Heh, whoa. It's been a couple years since this thread, so I apologize for any difference in character.)

[ooc] It was last left on my reply, so my fault entirely. Sorry. And thanks for rejoining! ^^ [/ooc]

"Why would you look at clothes that you wouldn't buy?" Leesh asked, thoroughly confused by such a concept. Browsing was one thing, commenting that he had no intention of buying the clothing he was looking through was another. His gaze followed the pocketed hand and he stared for a long moment before lifting his stare to meet those green eyes which were evaluating him.

"Because I like to see if there's a diamond in the rough. Call it a habit of mine."

He turns his gaze away, flipping idly through another rack, hand perfectly poised on the wobbly stand. Then he smiles, looking back at Leesh; it's a peculiar sort of expression on his pretty, pouty lips. He laughs, which is ironic, because there's nothing to laugh about.

"Why do you happen to care?"

And his head tilts again, ever so slightly, his pale digits sliding over towards the steadier rack. Slouched like this, he has to look up to Leesh far more; his shortness impairs him, in a way, but he makes no move to change his position.

"So you do want to buy something," Leesh announced, getting things straight in his head. This new fellow was very confusing, talking in circles and riddles, but he was interested, all the same, and that was the reply he gave to the question that was now shot his way. "I find it interesting."

He'd forgotten about his cigarette until he gestured around at the clothing with the hand that held it, letting ash float into the air. Glancing at the depleting thing he held between his fingers, he took another puff, which brought him down to the filter, and so he abandoned it by dropping the cigarette onto the floor, and stamped it out.

He glances to the other customers in the shop; he wonders if they know this new arrival is not an acquaintance of his. Then, Leesh catches his attention again. Lucifer turns his head, and watches the smoldering ashes of the cigarette. He places a hand on his hip, a smirk resting snugly on his pink lips.

"I had no intention of buying an article of clothing here. The truth? I'm bored. Need me to spell it out for you?"

He tucks a brown lock behind his ear, a frown wrinkling his features. "You shouldn't smoke here; it'll ruin the clothes."

Yet, he makes no move to pick up the mess Leesh left on the floor.

BooYa - June 16, 2007 09:46 PM (GMT)
"Yes, thank you. I have trouble with some words," Leesh said, reacting positively to the offer of having Lucifer's boredom explained to him. He had only the most intellectual idea of what boredom meant, but because Leesh would actively amuse himself on a constant basis, he hadn't ever felt it.

Lucky him.

Being told not to smoke after his cigarette was out amused Leesh so greatly that it brought a big grin to his face, as though Lucifer had said something extremely witty just for his benefit. What was it people said when a joke was uttered?

"Good one!" he exclaimed brightly, the grin parting lips now and showing teeth. "You got a cigarette?"

Arcane Blood - June 17, 2007 01:47 AM (GMT)
Leesh's retort only makes Lucifer's eyes narrow; apparently, the mage didn't find it as amusing as the smoke demon had. He pauses, pale digits fingering the fibers of a cotton shirt. He blinks, decidely not amused by this whole conversation, and shifts his weight. His body sags in the left directionally rather femininely.

"No," he answers. He's lying.

BooYa - June 17, 2007 03:52 AM (GMT)
Leesh's nose told him that Lucifer was incorrect, for the demon could sense a cigarette from quite a distance away. Perhaps Lucifer wasn't aware he had any with him? The concept of lying was also one Leesh wasn't familiar with - but at least he knew of boredom. Lying... it escaped him so completely that he wouldn't even make the connection that someone might be telling him things that were untrue, on purpose! Deception, however, he knew well.

"Can you check for me?" Leesh prompted further, wishing for Lucifer to make sure his answer was right. He waited for the other to check his pockets, possibly while explaining what it meant to be bored.

Arcane Blood - June 17, 2007 04:09 AM (GMT)
Lucifer is human. Of course humans lie... what kind of human was Leesh pretending to be, not knowing a liar? Lucifer makes empty hand gestures, turning on the heel of his boot. He is quite confused by this stranger, and it shows on his face. In a way that asks, 'and why are you talking to me again?'.

He starts walking out of the shop, shrugging one slender shoulder delicately.

"Look. No means no, kid." Lucifer barely looks twenty himself. His German accent is more apparent, now that he's irritated.
