Title: Grey skies today
Description: they're not white, get your eyes checked
Aliencat - August 23, 2004 08:51 PM (GMT)
The weather could still be called 'nice', though it was chillier than days now gone. The sky was grey with clouds. The usual suffocating crowd that filled the park had thinned, since people seemed to prefer searing hot sun on their bare skin to the occasional cool breeze that caressed it through their t-shirts.
Dacia was dissapointed that the usual mob wasn't there. It meant less people to observe.
She was sitting on a bench between a sickening looking spinning fear machine and the go-cart track. The screams and shouts of joy from both washed over her. As each group of people passed her by, she gave them a smile and a sweet "Hello." Some said hello back, some glared, most ignored her. The girl relished ever moment of it.
She wore knee-high rainbow striped socks today. They didn't match. She also wore white overall shorts and bright lime green shirt. Strangely, her hair was undyed today, and was plaited back into a thick, sloppy braid. It ended with an obnoxious red ribbon tied into a bow. Her fingernails were blue.
She smiled hugely as a woman and her small child wandered by, and gave them both a "Hello." The woman hurried her little girl past. Dacia grinned and moved onto the next people.

Taking the lad's advice from the book store Trinity decided to try out the Amusement Park, so far it had been alright, abit packed and chilly for Trin's liking (she pulled her thick blue coat closer) but yea quite nice. At the moment Trin was eating a cotton candy, thankfully her short brown/ blond hair kept out of the way of the sticky pink mass "why is it always pink" other things pass through her head - equaly pointless but it kept her mind busy.

Razzle loved amusement parks - the colours, the noise, the happy and lively atmosphere. And it was distressing to him that he could not wander as freely as he would have liked to. The last time he'd done so, he'd been spotted, and there had been uproar. Someone had mistaken him for an alien - something that the Fae had been rather insulted about. Luckily for him, though, most of the uproar had been due to the crowd simply being surprised by the elaborate 'costume' suddenly bounding into view, and had wanted to know what it was promoting. But Razzle had been spooked by it, nonetheless.
This time round, however, Razzle was under heavy disguise. ... The 'heavy disguise' being a silly over-sized novelty hat that managed to hide most of the Fae's strange, almost cartoonish face.
"Razzle, you're a genius..." the cheerful Fae whispered to himself as he trotted along, raising a hand to pull the rim of the hat down over his eyes whenever he got the sense that someone was staring at him.
Then, suddenly, Razzle halted, causing the person walking behind to crash into him. Razzle barely noticed however, since he was too busy staring at a particularly colourful individual sitting on a bench a few yards away.
"Woooooww...." the Fae exclaimed with awe, blinking his wide eyes a few times. He seemed completely taken with the girl's eccentric clothing.
Unable to resist, Razzle crept up behind Dacia, wavering nervously before suddenly blurting out, "I like your socks!" then instantly recoiling shyly.

Someone liked her socks. This made her grin.
She turned to look at the person, and her grin didn't falter at his own strange attire (though she was a little taken aback.) The girl only grinned wider.
"Thank you." She said brightly. "I'm Lela." It wasn't true, of course, but it also wasn't completely false. The newly-dubbed "Lela" stuck out her hand to shake.

Razzle grinned widely - it wasn't often he got such a positive reaction from people. "Hi Lela!" he said brightly, of course completely oblivious to the fact that Dacia had lied about her name.
"My name is Razzle!" he added, grabbing 'Lela's' outstretched hand and shaking it enthusiastically.

She cocked her head at him like a curious puppy and her mismatched eyes sparkled.
"Razzle? Is that really your name? That's awesome!" The girl exclaimed loudly, as if this was the neatest thing under the sun.
Extra DarkLight - October 15, 2004 11:07 AM (GMT)
Razzle beamed from ear to ear. "You think my name is awesome? That's...awesome!"
The Fae giggled happily, then promptly hopped over the bench and sat down next to the girl.
"I like your name too. I also like your socks! Wait..." Razzle tipped his head on one side, blinking his wide, long-lashed eyes thoughtfully. "...Did I say that already?"
Aliencat - October 15, 2004 08:45 PM (GMT)
She giggles as well, and shifts over as he sits.
"Yes, you did." Smiling, she folded one leg under herself and faced him on the bench.
"So, do you live around here?" Here as in Bayfield. She knew that some people came to the amusment park from other places. That's also why she liked to come here. She could meet people from outside the city.

(OOC: Sorry for the delay, Aliencat...)
"Uh-huh." Razzle replied, nodding his head and causing the big novelty hat to slip down over his eyes.
The odd Fae pushed the rim of the hat back a bit and added, "I live near Elm Street. But I'd live in this amusement park if they didn't close it at night!" Razzle smiled broadly. "So where do you live?"
Aliencat - November 6, 2004 04:06 PM (GMT)
She pointed abruptly to her left. If you had a good sense of direction you would know that that was toward the self-apointed "good" end of town.
"Ferguson Road. It's a few streets off from Elm."
Extra DarkLight - November 15, 2004 08:04 PM (GMT)
As Dacia pointed in a vague direction, Razzle looked to where she was pointing and blinked his large eyes a few times, before looking back to Dacia with a slightly confused look on his face. It was only when Dacia explained where she lived that the Fae grinned and nodded, now understanding.
"Wow, aren't coinsidences great!" he answered brightly, before suddenly jumping to his feet.
"Hey, you wanna go on some rides?" The Fae did a jig of excitement. "We could go on the wheel and the dodge-cars and the ghost train and the arcades and the magic carpet and that thing with all the water..."
Aliencat - November 20, 2004 01:23 AM (GMT)
Dacia sprang to her feet right after him. She could equal his enthusiasm, ounce for ounce.
"Ooh!" She squealed, in a rather girly fashion, "Lets go on the ferris wheel!" She bounced on her heels in her eagerness.
Extra DarkLight - December 2, 2004 09:13 PM (GMT)
"Yay!" the overjoyed Fae exclaimed, flapping his arms happily.
"Ummm..." Razzle turned a quick circle on the spot as he sought out the ferris wheel. He soon spotted it - the giant structure towered over most of the other attractions.
"There!" he said, pointing frantically, before practically bounding away towards it, then wavering - rather like an impatient puppy - to check that Dacia was following. It obviously didn't take much to make the Fae hyper-active...
