Title: Quite the odd meeting.
Description: Monique is now an Azrealite.

Llama·llama - April 26, 2004 02:12 AM (GMT)
(Reserved for the crazy kitten.)

The girl had changed a bit since she had last seen her sprite friend. Her face was -permanently- done in extravagent black makeup, as she had discovered when she tried to wash it off. Or maybe it was just long-lasting, because it didn't look like tatoos. In any case, now that it was there to stay, she couldn't exactly go back to the few normal outfits Azreal had left her. So she was wearing her knee-high leather boots again, this time with actual black pants- not leather, but some sort of cotton- with odd patterns stitched down the sides. Her black, stitched top with about eight crisscrossing shoulder straps wasn't revealing, per se, but it certainly felt like it to her and it was too warm to put anything over it. One hand was cradling a mug of dark coffee, her eyes reflecting it's shade and being the only thing on her that wasn't the same colour as Azreal hadn't left her the colour of her hair.

Monique had called Ally and asked to talk to him, but hadn't specified why. And now she was watching fairly closely, because she'd be easy to miss despite having dstinctive features. She hadn't ordered food yet... being too worried about his reaction. Not just about her changed appearence, but her new devotion to Azreal that she found growing every day and resisted with all she could. And who knew what the god would do if she kept not telling people?

Crazy_Kitty - April 26, 2004 02:24 AM (GMT)
Quite the odd meeting indeed.

The friendly sprite almost missed Monique indeed, in her new make-up and the abundance of black that had wormed it's way into her wardrobe. It was infact the clothes that first attracted his attention, for it did look slightly out of place in this friendly diner, but when he spotted the poor pyro looking admittedly wonderful in the new clothing, a smile graced his delicate features.

The sprite was clothed as seductivly as usual, albiet a long black coat was buttoned up against the nightly chill he barely felt, boots buckled with crimson straps and oh so shiny silver buckles. Lavender hair, silver eyes and dressed for once more like a common, pretty partier rather then a hooker, he still drew barely a glance, for his wings were hidden beneath the warm coat, and he otherwise passed as a normal human, rather then being a fae.

And over he bounced to the table and his friend, flopping into the chair with a bright smile, oblivious of the worry of the other.

"Heya, Moni."

Llama·llama - April 26, 2004 02:31 AM (GMT)
She looked up to him and gave him a wan smile. It was far better than anything anyone else could get out of him, but even that was astretch for her right now. She continued running her finger around the rim of her mug, then took a sip, waiting for it to be refilled by the buxom waitress. "Hey, Ally." A careful pause. She wasn't going to say anything yet, let him warm up to her. At least he'd found her, but then again, he was probably excited that she was dressed so much like him.

Her resolve to not say anything lasted maybe six seconds. "I'm dressed like this because you know the curse Azreal put on me, well, I tried to lift it. Did a summoning spell, and he appeared, but the only way he'd lift it was if I devoted my soul to him. I figured he'd have it in eighty years anyways and I couldn't live my life half-spider, so I gave it to him and he replaced half my clothes with this sort of this and dyed my face."

Another long pause, while she studied him with dark brown eyes. What would he say now? What could he say now?

Crazy_Kitty - April 26, 2004 02:41 AM (GMT)
Blink. Blink.

"Oh dear g-"

Wait, don't finish that sentence, never know who might show up when you start mentioning dietys.

"You gave your soul to It? Well, i've never met a devotee of It before. Although atleast he did the make-up well and such. Umm.." Not rambling like when he was shocked by the fire, or frozen like when Monique had done her little arachnid transformation, more curious. And a little frightened.

" You don't have a soul?"

Llama·llama - April 26, 2004 02:49 AM (GMT)
She blinked at the little sprite, and felt like hugging him. Or better, glomping him and buying him lunch for not rejecting her offhand and not telling her that she did the wrong thing or anything. Instead, she gave him another small smile, holding out her cup to be refilled and waiting for him to order a drink and the waitress to vanish before replying. Who cared who overheard?

"I'm not sure how much he left me. Like, I know he took it from me (read: ate it), but I still feel emotion. And I care for people as much as I did before, so I really don't know if he affected me in that area." Had it been a joke? Well, it might be funny, but it was also the practical truth. Except for in the sprite's area. She cared for him a bit. "I didn't really like the makeup at first... but it didn't come off. I'm getting used to it. And the clothes are suprisingly unrestricting." Comfortable, actually, but she was the last one to admit it. She preferred showing off three square inches of skin.

Crazy_Kitty - April 26, 2004 02:55 AM (GMT)
(-Multitasking frantically-)

"Well, if he took all your soul, you'd just be a mindless shell of yourself without emotion or feeling. oh, and you wouldn't have any memory, and you'd be a mindless automaton of.." Okay, perhaps he shouldn't describe all the wonderful things that might happen if Azrael decided to take the rest of her soul.

"Um.. Nevermind." He smiled sheepishly, shifting in his seat to stare up at the roof for a moment, simply to digest this new infomation. His friend, his only friend, was a Azraelite. Well, it could be worse, one could suppose...

"So, your still alright, right?"

Llama·llama - April 26, 2004 03:00 AM (GMT)
Monique sighed softly, stirring cream but no sugar into her coffee. Just as she felt, diluted but not any more sweet. "I guess I'm okay. As okay as I ever was, I guess, because now I can pray to him and he might grant it. And I don't have to worry about chanigng into a giant spider now. So I guess I'm doing good." So why did it sound so much like she was trying to convince herself of that fact? She could be worse off, she new, but that didn't make her present and permanent situation seem any better to her. "I'm not going to suck your soul or anything, either. You're still the coolest mass murderer I know." Again, it could have been a joke, but it was a practical statement. People gave her looks, and she lowered her voice ever so slightly. "What can I do? Les jeux sont faits."

Crazy_Kitty - April 26, 2004 03:09 AM (GMT)
"Well, not being a giant spider is certainly a plus and all." He agreed, trying rather futilely to help cheer up the other who certainly didn't seem very happy about having sold her soul to the 'Devil' as it seemed. Little barstard, making his Monique upset. To bad he was a diety, or the fae would probably already be hunting him down.

You're still the coolest mass murderer I know

Maybe a joke, maybe a statement, Ally wasn't sure and hence he merely flashed her a cheery, fanged smile and ignored the looks the other patrons of the bar shot them, for they obviously didn't appreciate eating their meals while over-hearing conversations about mass murder between two not-so-humans.

"Well, i don't think theres any way to get rid of it. I didn't even know gods needed followers. Hey, maybe if i started killing all the rest of It's followers..."

Coolest mass murderer indeed.

Llama·llama - April 26, 2004 03:15 AM (GMT)
She gave that a sigh, even if she did have to appreciate his loyalty. She rubbed a hand through her hair, messing up the black strands. No roots showing, either, which could only make her think that it was at least semi-permanent in some odd way. She gave him a not-fanged-but-quite-as-creepy smile back as she got yet another coffee refill. Shortly, the French woman would be buzzing. Literally. "I do appreciate it, but if he's... the you-know-what of you-know-what, killing followers might not be such a bad thing. And he'd kill you then, or steal your soul, and I don't want you to get in trouble because I can't keep my hands to myself. He'd just make more, he has no morals." Man, it felt good to insult him. Even that was getting very hard, and Monique had a feeling that her priviledge would soon disappear. Or maybe she could still say that he had no morals, but only as a compliment. "I don't want to change like this."

Crazy_Kitty - April 26, 2004 03:26 AM (GMT)
"Aww..." He pouted as she shot down his little killing-spree plan, but recovered soon enough to as Moni continued, looking far more dejected then he had ever seen her before. He reached out, patting her on the back with a slim hand and a concerned frown. It was hard to be his usual happy self when his friend was upset. Maybe he was not the smartest one around, but he still cared atleast..

"Don't worry, Monique. There has to be some way to stop it. For every spell, there is a counterspell, and even Gods have to have some sort of rules, or we'd all be dead, in love, old and young, all at the same time."

Llama·llama - April 26, 2004 03:33 AM (GMT)
Monique brightened up at last. That was it! There had to be a way to get her soul back from Azreal, even if he had... eaten it. But maybe she could get it back somehow. "Maybe I can bribe him. Or... no, gods are immortal. Maybe I can meet up with his opposite or something and see if they can get me a new one!" Now that was unlikely, but anything to save herself. She glanced up at him, her head tilting a little. "Do I seem that different to you? Maybe I could just get used to not having it. I mean, it's kinda like loosing an arm. It sucks, but you get used to it and adapt after awhile." Only time would tell, she supposed. "In the meantime, I now have perfect justification for killing people and he might even bail me out if I get caught!"

Crazy_Kitty - April 26, 2004 03:45 AM (GMT)
"I don't think he would pay for bail money." He remarked with a cheery grin. "But who cares? Just remember not to go out killing school kids or anything, because you might get some higher-uppers annoyed and then you'll be in big trouble. But no one notices criminals and other people like that, y'know. "

Llama·llama - April 26, 2004 03:49 AM (GMT)
She nodded sagely, leaning across the table to wipe up a spill of cream she'd managed somehow. "Thanks for the advice, I don't know if I'd have followed it without someone saying that." She paused, looking downt o the menu she had discarded. "Hey, now I'm actually getting hungry. You want some lunch?" She had no idea how good the food was. But it looked decent, and the place was filling up, and she hadn't been eating lately due to her personal problems. And the food wafting by was looking good. She opened a menu up, flipping through it.

Crazy_Kitty - April 26, 2004 11:33 AM (GMT)
"A sandwich would be great. But your not like me. We should get you a gun! Yup. Guns are nice and shiny. Because if you set to many people on fire, it'll make the firepeople work hard, be good, becuase what happens if a building is set on fire? Or maybe you could get a sword. They're shiny to, y'know, but a bit super-heroish." Ramble, ramble, ramble.

Since when did he know so much about weapons? What did you expect from a manic sprite?

Llama·llama - April 27, 2004 12:39 AM (GMT)
She nodded and listened to his reasoning before flagging down the waitress and ordering two BLTs. And another refill of coffee. She tilted her head to think about choice of weapons, idly drumming her fingers along the cheap but spotlessly clean tabletop as she did. "I've always wanted a sword, but it's like killing highschoolers. Too much of a trace. It'd be easy to find me. On the other hand, guns are an unmoral weapon. It's kind of like cheating. Maybe I could learn to actually aim my power like that! I've never really tried to before. And if I only use it outside, there'd be nothing for firemen and women to do and there'd be no danger of setting other things on fire."

Crazy_Kitty - April 27, 2004 02:50 AM (GMT)
"That'd be cool and you wouldn't be caught. And it wouldn't be quite so bloody. But setting people on fire is pretty mean because it hurts so much before you die so maybe you can learn to just set there brains on fire or something so they die really quickly! Unless there really mean, in which case they deserve what they get."

Llama·llama - April 27, 2004 02:58 AM (GMT)
Monique grinned brightly at the second idea. That was a really good one! It could be a ton of fun. She glanced about, seeing if anyone was still watching the odd, if matching pair. Well, a few people, but she had the feeling that she'd get used to it more and more if her makeup didn't come off at all. "Yeah. Then again, I'd only kill mean people, I think, though I don't know how I'll wean them out." She paused as a despressing thought occured to her, dark eyes going back to the sprite. "What if he doesn't like it? He poked fun at my goat ritual sacrafice."

Crazy_Kitty - April 27, 2004 03:06 AM (GMT)
"You killed a goat?" Asked the sprite in dismay, having quite the weakspot for furry animals. And even those that weren't furry. "That wasn't very nice, y'know, whats a goat done to you?" Ignored the strange looks they were earning, uncaring if one of the other patrons pulled out a mobile and informed the police that two people in the diner were eating sandwiches and discussing mass-murder. "You could always ask him, y'know."

Llama·llama - April 27, 2004 03:13 AM (GMT)
Monique blinked. She was sure she had told him about her death ritual. Oh yes, they'd both been perfectly drunk at the time. If she had made any sense of it, he'd forgotten by now. So she'd go over it briefly, as it wasn't something she was greatly proud of. "I was trying to summon Azreal to get the curse off. I figured blood and death might do the trick, but it worked abysmally. Only thing it got me was a stinking goat carcass." Okay, so it wasn't nice at all. But she'd burned it to leave no traces. "And I don't know how to call him other than going through that huge ritual again, and it was hard enough in the first time. I suppose if I dedicated a kill to him and chanted his name he might take notice. But then I'd have my answer anyways."

Crazy_Kitty - April 27, 2004 03:19 AM (GMT)
"Well, if he's your sorta diety now, can't you just say something like 'Hey, Azrael, god-dude, i gotta ask you a question' and he'll come?" Okay, so he may be coherent, but at times you'd get more sense out of a three year old. Not that it mightn't work. "That poor goat.."

Llama·llama - April 27, 2004 03:26 AM (GMT)
Monique shook her head glumly. "I already tried just asking. Maybe if I prayed more, he would. I haven't exactly been a good follower... maybe that's it. Maybe I need to preach more or make more followers or go around telling people how good a diety he is... except I can't really say because I've only had him for a few days now." Monique heaved a big sigh and dug into her sandwich, which was placed in front of her at exactly that moment. "The goat's dead. I can get you another one if you want it." It hadn't been his in the first place, but she did feel mildly bad about killing it. It was going to be for a good cause, but that cause never materialized.

Crazy_Kitty - April 27, 2004 03:33 AM (GMT)
He sniffled, mumbling something about poor, misunderstood goats before straightening up, once again quite cheerful. "I don't really think it'll be good if you go around telling people to worship death. They'll probably think your a loony or a terrorist or something. Unless you tell those weird satanic-cult people, but who'd want them as followers? Why does he even need followers? Actually, maybe i don't want to know that, it mightn't be nice... So, how's life being?"

Llama·llama - April 27, 2004 03:43 AM (GMT)
Happy enough to get off the topic of Azreal and her subsequent death, Monique gave the sprite a slight smile as she muched away on lunch. "Good enough, I guess. My classes are still inetersting and I'm all done exams for the summer now! How've you been doing?" Pause. "I mean, what've you been doing?" She only saw him hardly ever, anyways. It was a pity, Ally was really the most interesting person she knew and probably the most friendly towards her as well. Actually, why did Azreal need followers? It just didn't make sense to her. She was practically bouncing in her seat from the fifth cup of coffee, which was okay, because she didn't get a lot of sleep recently.

Crazy_Kitty - April 27, 2004 04:06 AM (GMT)
Why did he need followers, indeed. Maybe the sprite would look that up, see if he could find some way to knock off 'His' control of Monique. Silly, childish, immature and a murderer, maybe, but Ally was anything but unloyal to his friends.

"Oh, the usual, looking around, finding things, having a good time. Partying, to." Cheerful smile, resting his chin in his hand. "Good to know your exams are going well'n all."

Llama·llama - April 27, 2004 04:10 AM (GMT)
Monique brightened ever so slightly at the last action he mentioned. Well, of course he had been partying, but the idea had honestly not occured to her, as she was anti-social and had been for a few years. "We ought to have a party to celebrate... something. The finish of my exams, or something." Yes, she was changing around him. She'd have never even mentioned it had he been anyone but uniquely Ally. "Um, except I don't know anyone but you that I'd go to a prty with." Sigh. She was back to the beginning. "Well, getting drunk with you was fun anyways."

Crazy_Kitty - April 27, 2004 04:18 AM (GMT)
"Getting drunk is generally fun, even without me." Laughed dear Ally, flashing her a cheery, fanged grin as his wings fluttered. Clearly the sprite was enjoying there little conversation, or atleast the company. He hadn't met anyone as nice as Monique... Well.... Ever.. "And i'm sure if you threw a party lots of people would come."

Llama·llama - April 27, 2004 10:32 PM (GMT)
She had to shake her head at that, thinking of anyone else that might come. Not many people, that was for sure. "Only people I don't know, if they did. And you, of course, you're a party animal." A real, live party animal. It was rather amazing at whom she knew these days, and how unexpected it was. "Maybe we just ought to get together and get drunk. It's more fun than having a party where I know no one, and ways less work." A slight frown, as she thought that over. "I need a job, or I'm not going to be able to keep doing this. Even if I did just get a bunch of new clothes for free."

Crazy_Kitty - April 28, 2004 04:28 AM (GMT)
"Yeah, the party would probably run out of beer with me around." Laughed the sprite with a cheery grin. He wouldn't mind a party, but it was always harder to hold glamours with to many people around, and there could be a fire or something. And that simply wouldn't be good at all, now, would it?

"You could always get a job in elm street or something. It's interesting down that way, and there might be places open."

Llama·llama - April 28, 2004 11:26 PM (GMT)
Monique nodded at that, tapping her fingers on the table and then eating her last piece of bacon. The woman had never lacked for appetite, or metabolism rate. "Thanks, Ally. We'll have to plan something." She checked her watch then, looking to him a bit apologetically. "I have to go soon- I'm picking up groceries for an old lady. I mean, she's paying me fifty dollars plus gas for an afternoon plus the money for the groceries, so I figure it's not exactly a nice thing to do. But it is a good way to make money." She fished aorund in her pocket and flicking out enough money to cover her bill.

Crazy_Kitty - April 29, 2004 02:18 AM (GMT)
"Fifty bucks? Thats cool." He nodded, yawning sleepily and gnawing on the last crust of his sandwich with a cheery smile and wave. "Don't want you to be late." (Short..)

Llama·llama - April 29, 2004 02:23 AM (GMT)
Monique stood up and leaned over to pat the sprite's shoulder in a brusque gesture. It wasn't exactly an emotion-filled moment, but it was a rare time that she made voluntary contact with anyone other than herself. "I'll call you sometime." Probably sooner than later, considering the circumstances she got herself into. What was her only friend for, after all?

Crazy_Kitty - April 29, 2004 10:11 AM (GMT)
He nodded as she patted his shoulder, smiling up at her. "You take care of yourself, and if you get in trouble, don't be afraid to call."
