Title: the All American Rejects!

I can't wait... tuesday the aar cd comes out, for those of you who don't know, these are some lovely "local" guys based out of my personal favorite, Tulsa, OK. They rock, the cd's cheap, check it out, they're hittin it big!

Ryan - February 4, 2003 02:19 AM (GMT)
I'm always up for discovering new bands, especially guys that haven't hit it big yet. I seem to be a good luck charm for bands. I started listening to They Might Be Giants and pretty soon they became (relatively) big. I started listening to Cake and pretty soon they became big. A band I listen to a lot now, Superdrag, is rapidly rising, although they were big back in '96 until they literally said f' you to MTV (while live on MTV, in fact). I'll have to check these guys out.

is that the band that sings the "Swing Swing" song?

caitc - February 5, 2003 11:23 PM (GMT)
yeah! they're the swing, swing guys. i loved that song. i must be crazy i went and got the cd yesterday, it was like five bucks. i love it, to me it's like cake and blink and good charlotte and jimmy eat world all mixed up. it's good guys!

Well, I checked these guys out, and I would have to say that they are pretty dang good. Thanks for the suggestion!

Speaking of TMBG, Superdrag, and RBF -- all three of which've been mentioned lately -- those are three of my all-time favorite bands ever. Yay...!

While I'm not a big fan of the AAR, I thought I'd post that our school newspaper got sent a package by the AAR with a CD, some info about them, a bunch of stickers, and a glossy photo.

ah that's sweet! how'd you get that? i guess it's the whole street team thing, but i signed up for that... lol, that's awesome, sorry you're not a big fan, lol. i will say for anybody who wants to check them out, i picked up the album it ROCKS

K-80 Evans - March 4, 2003 04:03 AM (GMT)
i'm in love with AAR. they're cd is so sweet...or...un-sweet. i don't know how to say it. but their lead singer has a beautiful voice.

i bet if you like AAR...there's a good chance you would like something corporate also. i've seen SO CO twice... and they are freakin awesome. i have never seen a piano played like that. and they light it on fire at the end!!! (but it's totally safe :) ). they have songs you can mosh too, sing along with, or just cry too. i love 'em!!!

I love those guys too! yeah the aar guy's voice is adorable, lol. i'm not doin much this year (haha, ever) so my fun is music, lol. i'm a loser, but i'm okay with that :D

well, as no one has posted something in this catagory for a while, i'll do a random revival.

i bought the AAR album a while ago and was wondering, what is everyone's favorite song on the CD?

mine would have to be Happy Ending. :D
