Hmmm, didn't see a lot of music references on here...but I fell in love with some songs by E. S. Posthumus (yes, after-dirt, not after-death. Not sure why it's spelled that way, but oh well....).
It's almost symphonic with choral works mixed in and some great electronic music added. It's been used in trailers such as Spiderman and Planet of the Apes, specifically the song Pompeii.
To purchase it, you have to go to a single webpage, I think it's wigshop or bigwig. It's not going to be on Amazon or Ebay. Try downloading and listening to Pompeii and then if you like it, try the album. It's one of those albums that appeals to both my classical friends and the techno clubbers. In and of itself, that's rather amazing.
