Title: Logic Game

BoBayles - December 19, 2003 11:42 PM (GMT)
Here's a cool little logic game... in Japanese. The rules are:
-The Mother can't be on the same side as the Sons without the Father
-The Father can't be on the same side as the Daughters without the Mother
-The Criminal can't be on the same side as the Mother, Father, Sons, or Daughters without the Policeman
-Only the Father, Mother, and Policeman can operate the raft.

I killed several minutes with it at school today, and solved it rather in-eloquently, and then came home and couldn't figure it out again for another few minutes. I've wrote down my steps, and got it down to 16, can anybody find a better method? (I'll post it to prove it, if necessary. :D )

the CRIMINAL is a REDHEAD!!!

that was one of the most frustruating things i've ever done on a christmas break. if you count there and back as one step i got eight and a half... but then seventeen if you count one direction. may i ask how bo knew japanese, lol?

i came up with seventeen also. i wanna see Bo's sixteen step method. :)

question: is it even possible to end with an even number of steps?

Er... I meant 17. I wasn't counting the last police escort for some reason, sicne the game ends and the Japanese characters go into a drug-induced-stare type thing.
And I read the rules once from where I got the link, and promptly forgot them, and then divined them from playing for a minute. "Konnichi-wa" and "O genki desu ka" is the extent of my Japanese language knowledge.

This is not playing for me
It sits there forever "downloading" it, but I checked the network traffic and nothing's happening...
*Polarris Delsan is very curious about game and will try again later

It seemed to be down earlier, but it's working now. It's kicky good fun!
