Title: Easy Physics (help!)
Description: seven fundamental concepts

what exactly are the seven fundamental concepts of physics? our teacher talks in circles and i couldn't understand what he meant... "class... homework, there are seven, well, many, fundamental and derived, but lots of derived. time. time is one. find the six others, but i know you don't know one. but just make a list. yyyyeaahhhh..."
anybody help me here? i'm starting to think this may be a very dumb question.

My teacher pulled that stunt, too. Yours is either talking about the different things the SI system (redundant, I know) measures directly, or the "Scientific Method", which gets hammered into your head every year, in case you forgot that Observation comes before Theory.
I believe the SI units are length, mass, temperature, quantity (in moles), time, current, and lumninous-ness. (Luminous intensity is probably the one you're not supposed to know. It was in my physics book in 10th grade in the list of SI units, and not ever used again.)
All the other measurements are forms of those, like speed is length and time, area is length and length, and so on.
If it's the Scientific Method, you should be able to stretch Observe, Hypothesize, Test, Theorize into 7 steps... you might do both, if it's an essay.

wow, the more i think, the worse off i become. thanks for the help, i'll just have to figure out what it is he's talking about tomorrow. if all else fails, i'll list big, hypothetical words and sound smarter than everyone else, lol. thanks.

Bo, from now on try to keep your words monosyllabic
