Title: Colleges and Majors

Hey, i have nothing else to talk about at the moment, so here's a prompt or two for everyone (who isn't already in or has graduated from college) to answer:

Which colleges are you planning to apply to?
Which majors/minors look appealing to you?

i know...it's lame. :/

How about I have no earthly idea anymore! :s

I'm not absolutely sure, as I like a lot of different subjects, but the most likely candidates for majors are:
Some type of engineering or physical science or... something. If I do engineering, I'll either do computer, electrical, or nuclear, but I'm not sure which. I'm going to University of Missouri-Rolla's Intro To Engineering program in July, so maybe I'll make a decision there. You can do a double major of computer and electrical engineering at UMR, so I might do that. I'd like to get an MBA, too, maybe... I like business and economics as well.
The two most likely colleges are UMR and Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, but I'll probably apply to some others.

heh...i'm thinking a major in either film or communications, with a minor in some type of history. my mom (for some reason) wants me to make documentary films.

anyway, the top colleges on my list are Northwestern University, University of Southern California, Wash U. in St. Louis, Emerson, and probably SMS just so i can tell my mom that i applied to one school that doesn't cost $30,000 a year. ;)

Documentary films, eh? Not that that wouldn't be interesting, but it's an odd goal for a mother to give her daughter. Why don't you go be President or something? :)

I'm planning on staying in-state for undergrad. Probably Truman State, maybe Mizzou, and possibly Wash U. if they can cough up enough money (don't count on it!). I'm more than likely going to major in Political Science with a minor in I-Don't-Know-What. After that it's off to George Washington University School of Political Management in DC for my Master's. Phew! What a mouthful.

I'm looking at mechanical engineering at most likely Rolla.

This topic hasn't been active for 3 weeks or so... but I'm bored.

I will probably definitely go to MU because they have a Pre-Vet Scholars Program which will guarantee me admission to vet school because of my ACT score/GPA/class rank. Being a white female it would be extremely hard to get in otherwise. If I wasn't white I wouldn't have a problem. Go figure. I'll either major in biology or biochem. I'm not sure which one. I'll also apply to Washington Univ.

Anyway, I'm going to be a vet and save animal lives! :D (A)

I just got back from spending the week in Rolla, for the Intro to Engineering Summer program, which was rather enlightening in the college/ major search. I've pretty much decided to pursue engineering over anything else. Based on what a observed from the various departments, I'm thinking a good path would be to go for the Electrical and Computer Engineering double major, and then if I wanted a Masters, go for Engineering Management, which is kind of like a bridge between engineering and business.
I applied to and got accepted to Rolla, which keeps it in my top choices for schools, but the dorm they had us in kind of sucked... So if I go there, I'll want a different dorm. I'll also apply to Northwstern University (Illinois), Washington University, and MU-Columbia, as well.
