Anyone in and around the St. Louis area should definitely check out the band Disferrence. They've been playing shows maybe once a month all over St. Louis. The Galaxy, Mississippi Nights, and All American Bar and Grill are just a few. Their next show is at All American on June 22nd. You should show up, they are a great band, seriously. :ph43r:

My roommate has a band that plays at places like that, although mostly at the Creepy Crawl, and her band sucks. ;) Ever heard of One Man Out? That's right, I didn't think so... But I heard Disferrence was at the same Battle of the Bands that they were, and was awesome!

One Man Out sounds vaguely familiar, but there were 30 bands there, so it's pretty hard to keep them straight. Anyway, as of now, Disferrence is mostly playing in Farmington, until more stuff comes around. The show at All American was changed to June 14th, and it now a 21 and up show, so I know I can't go, and some of you can't either, unless you're old. :D I'll keep it updated whenever they are playing in St. Louis again. It should be in July, but who really knows these days?
And to Seth, asking what type of music they are, it's just safest to say metal/rock, because they have their own style of metal/rock/sometypeofmusic. At one point, they just stuck to saying "metal, yet genre-defying" so that's what I'll say. I honestly think they are the best band I've heard locally. I'm trying not to be biased, but they really are that good. There have been bands that said they'd give up gigs just to be replaced by Disferrence, just so they could see them play again. It's only happened once, but still most other bands and the fans of those bands tend to be huge fans of Disferrence after only seeing one show. I strongly suggest going to see them at least once. They should have a 5 song EP out sometime in the next 2 months. They are in the middle of recording now, and I'm not sure how long it really takes, but it should be out soon enough.

Definitely let us know when they're playing soon. I haven't kept up with the local bands as much lately. Ever heard of Saving Boy Wonder? They used to be big a couple years ago, in a mix of the rock/punk/ska genres. Another band I haven't heard from in about a year is Esoteric. But I'd really like to check out Disferrence.
