I know that there are several scholars who have their own band. My friends and I are toying with the idea of starting one as soon as we learn to play better. I was wondering about your experiences.

This is definitely one of the defining aspects of my high school life. Playing with the band is great fun, not to mention it gives me a chance to use my ability. We've traveled to places in MO and KS, and are planning to tour a little this summer.

well, y'know, when I was a scholar....(heh, I sound all old now) Anyway, back in '01, there was a crew that came together during MSA and formed a band, The Rusty Zippers. Was one of those bands who do not take themselves to seriously, not by a long shot...if anyone particularly cares to investigate, they can be found here.

make sure you and your friends are on the same track. umm, just do. i've seen that ruin friendships before. but, if you're all cool with everything and thinking the same way, it's all good. weird advice but i've found it to be true.
