Who all runs SETI@home on their computer/laptop and what are your thoughts on it?

I used to run it but found it very sluggish so wondering what everyone elses thoughts are on it?

My thoughts are it isn't worth the space on your hard-drive Jim.
Could possibly be a back door into it.?

I've heard a lot of people who don't rate it with a high regard like yourself.

Personally I don't really understand it but as I said I took it offf my computer about 6 months ago because I was having problems with it and wondered what others think of it

HI FOLKS,I RAN IT FOR ABOUT A YEAR AND AT THE TIME THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD THING TO DO BUT I DID FIND IT SLOWED MY COMPUTER DOWN SO I TOOK IT OFF.

I also used to run it. Didn't notice any slow down though. It developed a fault and I never bothered fixing it, seems like a waste of time to me to be honest. Excellent idea though, to harness so much processing power/time. Should really be being exploited much more IMO for other things.
