HI GROUP,MORE INFO ON THE PORTUGAL UFO STORY. :ph43r:
I can deny as fairy-tale the information that a missile was fired
into the UFO that was seen over Portugal the 1st Juin.
A source directly related to the Portuguese Air Force Chief of Staff
told me that nothing as fired, only the bases were alerted by the
event. We have the radar data and a lot of well grounded reports to be
studied by our CTEC team here at the University Fernando Pessoa.

HI GROUP,FOUND THIS TONIGHT SEEMS LIKE A LOT OF UFO ACTIVITY OVER PORTUGAL JUST NOW. ;)
LUMINOUS UFO SEEN BY
HUNDREDS IN PORTUGAL
"According to local Portuguese radio stations,
hundreds of residents were startled by the sight of an
'inhuman light' in the sky over the Algarve in southern
Portugal. The OVNI (Portuguese acronym for UFO--J.T.) was
seen in several cities of the region but particularly in
Faro."
"The reports indicated that the OVNI was seen over an
area of 100 to 150 kilometers (60 to 90 miles). The
object was witnessed between 11 p.m. and midnight on
Tuesday, June 1, 2004. No structure could be seen around
the light."
"An unidentified luminous object was seen at the same
time in Spain's Galicia province. At 11:30 p.m., the OVNI
was seen over Portuguese territory, in places such as
Penafiel, Vendas Novas, Evora, Algarve and Setubal."
"For the moment, Portuguese authorities do not know
what could have been the cause of the sighting in their
skies." (See the Agence France Presse report for June 2,
2004. Muito obrigado a Marcio Vicente Teixeira por eso
caso.)

Here's an odd one, a cube shaped UFO!
| QUOTE |
On Monday, July 25, 2005, in the evening, an architect was walking on the beach at Matosinhos in northern Portugal when he spotted an unusual "cube-shaped UFO."
"An architect from Matosinhos told TV Channel 1 in Lisboa that he saw a UFO yesterday while walking the beach at night," reported Casimiro Moreira, UFO Roundup's correspondent in Portugal, "He said the sighting lasted for two minutes. 'It was like a cube floating above the sand, then it flew away towards the night sky, causing an explosion of light at high altitude.'"
Matosinhos is located about 10 kilometers (6 miles) north of Oporto and 235 kilometers (148 miles) north of Lisboa, Portugal's capital. (See the Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manha for July 26, 2005. Muito obrigado a Casimiro Moreira por eso caso.) |
