Well first off thanks for letting me Join the Site. My names John and I'm currently living in Plean near Stirling.

I have been seeing UFO's for most of my life. As I Have a tendency to always have one eye on the sky at all times :ph43r:


One of the most prolific sightings I ever had was when I was living in cumbernauld. Me and my father were returning from the rubbish tip after getting rid of some old furniture. Just before we were about to turn up into our street I noticed in the sky a large barrel floating in the sky. The barrel was brown in colour and was vertical. Me and my father both noticed it simultaneously. We parked the car, all the time keeping an eye on the "barrel" and I ran into the house to get my mother and see if I could find a camera (although to no avail :( ) . When we came back out, the barrel started to rise upwards slowly (as if it had noticed us looking at it) we followed it all the way up until it decided to disapear behind the clouds.

I would say the barrel was possibly 1.5 meters in diameter and possibly 8 meters tall. This sighting happened in approximatley june or july of 2001.


My next experience of strange phenomenon happend approximatley 6 months after the "barrel" incident. We noticed in the garden a large triangle of scorched grass. My father actually wrote to the daily record regarding this but did not get a reply.

The scorched grass was in the shape of a prefect triangle and was completley unexplainable. The triangle measured about a metre on all sides and stayed in the garden for months after the incident. After these incident we noticed that my mothers health had deteriorated, and she ended up having to get large tumours removed from her womb. (perhaps coincidental, perhaps not)

Our next experience happened november of 2003. We were now living in plean where we have lived until this day. On returning home one night from a trip to glasgow we were driving down the A9 from larbert to plean when we all noticed a large light show in the sky. We drove home and got out the car, the light show appeared to be happening directly above the house just above the clouds.

The lights would swirl round and then move in and out. We thought possibly that there was a laser show in the local country park behind the house but after we done some investigation we found this was not the case. The show lasted for approximatley 2 hours then suddenly stopped. The span of lights was immense and it was almost impossible to tell how big it was due to the cloud obscurity


We continue to see strange lights in the sky on a regular basis, and im hoping that with the help of this community that we can possibly get some difinitive proof of UFO experiences.

Hi John and welcome to the group. :) Some interesting sightings there, I have no idea about any of them! Did you get a photograph of the grass triangle?

Unfortunatley not. It was one of those things that was in the garden for months, but for one reason or another we didnt take a photograph of the anomoly (dont ask me why :blink: )

Looking back now im kicking myself that we didnt. :(
