The first article is interesting, though I think the assumptions are questionable and the notions about how evolution works are a bit naive. Existing longer doesn't mean more highly evolved and more highly evolved does not mean more sophisticated. What, exactly, are the selection pressures that favour large heads? But I digress. :)

I do think there's a fun conversation to be had with this if there was room.
