THE OTHER DAY A REPORTER FROM BORDER NEWS CONTACTED ME TO ASK IF WE HAD ANYONE IN THE DUMFRIES AREA THEY COULD TALK TO.I CONTACTED ONE OF OUR MEMBER ANNE WHO HAS BEEN KEEPING US UPDATED WITH THINGS IN DUMFRIES AND SHE AGREED TO TALK TO THEM.THIS IS THE E-MAIL I RECIEVED FROM HER AFTER HER INTERVIEW WITH THEM.

ITV Border interviewed me but thankfully they cut out my section due to limited time.

Basically I was told that they were treating it all in a light-hearted manner and I was annoyed when the interviewer was shown looking up at the sky in Dumfries with dummy UFO's flying about behind her. No wonder people don't come forward when they are being treated as fools. She was a bit slow on the uptake as well. She asked me about a UFO sighting that I'd had and i told her about the jet fighter circling one in the sky. She then asked if I thought that these objects were military or from space! My reply was that if the military knew what the objects were and had built them themselves, then why on earth would jet fighter circle one? 'Dense' is the word that comes to mind. Thank goodness they didn't show me on the news, as I do not want to be associated with such stupidity.

I really am annoyed.

Anyway...I'll stop ranting now.

Yep, good for Anne! It's annoying when people are portrayed as idiotic "Roy Cropper" types when it comes to UFO sightings, especially when the target audience is the likes of Jade Goody and all the other neds and vacuous halfwits that populate the country!

This is exactly the reason why a lot of people don't report UFO sightings to the
press and why e2wufos don't like getting involved in this type of media publicity.

How annoying. Especially when they make out they really want to talk to comeone about it. Still, I don't suppose they are going to say "can we make a complete fool out of you on telly?" are they? :rolleyes:
