Er... is this one for the Digiworld Rumour Mill?

I can't seem to get the emulator working, but then my computer is rubbish and non-Japanese.

Good start for your blog though - are you going to use Movable Type or anything?

[edit]

Actually I have got it to work after restarting it and re-loading a number of times, but it's still rather messy.

I'm not quite sure what to make of it to be honest.

What's Movable Type?

What's Movable Type?

It's a piece of very good, free, blogging software. You install it on your site and it automatically does lots of content-management style stuff, and is fully customisable. It's good if you want to have a blog but don't want to host it somewhere else, like Mr Gillen has done.

It also means that the posts you make to your blog can be linked to automatically from other people's, and the feed of information it produces can be ensared by other websites and programs, always credited to you.

Not sure how much you already know about blogging, sorry if any of that was patronising.

There's also a similar program called Grey Matter that's worth checking out too.

I guess it's up to you how much effort you want to put in. Having to update a website the 'old-fashioned way' is a bit of a chore when you're doing regular updates, and blogging software has the advantage of automatically archiving your material as well as letting you access your site from anywhere. At the same time it can be a bit of a bugger to install (so I've heard, I didn't have any trouble and I'm no expert).

For an example of Movable Type put to great use, check out www.plasticbag.org

Didn't know anything about any of that, will check it out. Ta.

Planarchy is a good alternative. And not just because a mate coded it.

Also this game is fiendishly addictive, possibly due to it being terrifyingly difficult. It took me ten goes just to clear the level 1-1 (dodgy controls not helping matters), and then I died on level 1-2.

So what lead to you finding this one then?

DIGIWORLD_RevStu - October 29, 2003 03:17 PM (GMT)
Long story, but in a nutshell I was looking for something else. I found it, but the only place I could get the 80K file was by downloading a 620MB archive. Having done that I figured I may as well see what else was in the archive before I binned it, and bingo, there was SMBS.

It seems incredible that a game in a series such as that could slip through the net.

Nice find!

I actually have a ROM of a very early version of Sonic 4 kicking about (the game where Sonic + Tails are connected by a magic bond created by two golden rings).

It's...not good.

Ooh!

Has anyone here played the unreleased SNES sequel to Starfox? I was really looking forward to that.

Yep I've got that as well. What a load of toss.

I have, I have. It's slow and in Japanese, so it made no sense and was a bit crap. Similar ideas to Starfox64/Lylat Wars/whatever, like the spinny map and things, plus you can play as different characters I believe.
