Title: Mr Biffo - Not Dead!
Description: Aonghus de Barra, or something?
superdan - October 13, 2003 11:38 PM (GMT)
I know that I probably won't be loved much, after saying that I read ("HERTZ VAN RENTAL" - Ed), but... I read ("HERTZ VAN RENTAL" - Ed).
Today, on the letters page, a guy said that Mr Biffo might not be dead, but actually a regular writer to ("HERTZ VAN RENTAL" - Ed) under the pseudonym "Aonghus de Barra".
Hmm. Hmm.
After all, it would make sense that, after 10 years service, he can't crack the teletext-writing habit.
Hmm. Hmmm?

Think about it though, who do you get if you rearrange the letters in "Aonghus de Barra"?
That's right! Stuart N Hardy! (*)
(*) You might need to change some of the letters though, like you can in Scrabble.

Or it could be Scott Ross from Angus (Aonghus) or Barry (Barra) Mitchelson, or a syndication of all regular writers to teletext games pages over the past decade.
All of the above is more likely than it being Rosey.

Or maybe there so desperate for letters that they just made him up.
Dum dum dum dum dum da da da da. dah dah dah dah dah dahh etc. (Eastenders style)

I need something to read in the morning, EVERY MORNING, video-game related. So why am I forced to choke when I see a letter by "mrjesus2000"? It's as bad as the Stuart N Hardy letters.
Because they're probably one and the same, and I'm getting more and more frustrated with the content on Hertz whatever every day. If I want to read about people talking nonsense then I'll read the Daily Jerrygraph.

He certainly isnt dead.
You can read all about the fun he has had writing an Eastenders episode here:

Cool insight into Biffoworld. All that talk of re-writes and the tribulations of the freelance makes me want to write a funny about it all. But then, that's probably pointless and has been done 50 million times before.
