If they can get the Ps2 to produce in game graphics like that, I may just eat my vastly overpriced copy of Capcom generation 2.
The thing I've noticed about pre-release "in-game footage" is that it's frequently being capured on the dev computers, so it's all a lot crisper than the eventual thing (see: Rare).

If they're the shots that were on GamesPress, it looks awful. The screenshot size reduction did wonders for it.
It brings to me (not-fond) memories of Mission: Implausible on the N64.
For years the game was shown off with these fancy graphics which looked bloody fantastic, but as the time started to close in on the release, it started to look worse, and worse, until the game itself was a foggy mess.
It didn't make the "avoid the lasers whilst dropping from the ceiling bit in the film" level any easier.
