Title: What the?

shish - September 23, 2003 09:17 PM (GMT)
Cool, I found dead people! (edit> and some top secret conspiracy, by the looks of things)

I always figured that if Mr Biffo et al were to carry on with games magasines they'd carry on ("UNASSOCIATED TRADEMARKED PROPERTY" - Ed), but when they changed to ("HERTZ VAN RENTAL" - Ed) I figured Mr Biffo was semi-retiring (But still doing his edge column), semi-permanantly.

So now I found this (I was googling for zombie dave), and it seems to be ("UNASSOCIATED TRADEMARKED PROPERTY" - Ed) non-teletexted, moved to the net, then re-teletexted, with all the old people (And gin! Oh how I've missed the gin!). So was this site made before, during or after the C4 teletext ("UNASSOCIATED TRADEMARKED PROPERTY" - Ed)?

But looking around it seems to have died, leaving me with edge, ("HERTZ VAN RENTAL" - Ed), and some empty gin bottles. I'm all confused :(. And sober :(. What happened?

pre-edit> and what's with all the auto-blocking of the historical words? Am I breaking any great taboos by asking this? Did the digi crew leave C4 teletext because of some top-secret angry break up that I'm not supposed to know about?

First there was ("UNASSOCIATED TRADEMARKED PROPERTY" - Ed), then there was Digiworld.tv and now there isn't anymore of it.

This is a secret club, that's not really very secret, or club-like. But you're welcome here.

Am I allowed to tell anyone about it?

And do the digi crew still hang here? if not, where are they?

DIGIWORLD_RevStu - September 25, 2003 09:33 PM (GMT)
Hardly anybody still hangs here, man.

giant_frying_pan - September 26, 2003 01:55 AM (GMT)

I'm going to keep posting here until I die. Or at least until no-one else posts, and I'm all alone.

I dunno you go away for a week. And this place is coughing it's last phlegmy breathes when you return.

It brings a tear to the eye.

Maybe we should start a rumour mill and see if we can leak proposterous stories to the gaming press, here from our secret internet cavern.

Sounds good to me.

Nintendo's next console will be brown.

Brilliant! I shall email my friends about it immediately :D

it would be super, super-amazing if it was called the BrownCube.

giant_frying_pan - September 27, 2003 09:41 PM (GMT)
BrownBox would be a little better.

I think we should announce that all the games on the new format will be released on tiny 32MB CompactFlash cards.

I think we should announce that all the games on the new format will be released on tiny 32MB CompactFlash cards.

And make them 1/4 inch square, "to stop piracy".

And I take it by the mysterious turning of the discussion topic that there IS a conspiracy I'm not supposed to know about... <_<

shrinkwrapped - September 30, 2003 08:58 AM (GMT)
That's exactly what I was going to suggest!

See, Nintendo would decide to release stuff on an easily piratable format, but then change the shape, even though its storage capacity would be woefully inadequate.

Hey, we all know it could happen.

superdan - October 2, 2003 11:38 AM (GMT)
Nintendo did the same thing to my dog, "to stop piracy". Now I have to feed him rhomboid-shaped biscuits. Also, I aren't allowed to throw coffee at him any more.

nli10 - November 10, 2003 02:19 PM (GMT)
I tried to make a browncube once. But it was painful.

Did you hear about Nintendo's new partnership with Apple though? You can download music and video - but only from people's cubes that you can LAN to...
