Title: A new record!

thr0b - September 12, 2003 12:21 AM (GMT)
Most forums die at least a month after the site that spawned them, looks like this one is going to beat that by around three weeks. Tsk.

*Raises an eyebrow at passing tumbleweed*

There are things still to happen with Digi though, are there not? Like the offline downloadable version, and the ffrrrrk rrrff yrrrr crrrrntz shirts...

I think it's gotten a bit quieter since RevStu set about taking on every corporate lawyer in the civilised world.

Man, he is Some Guy. Sorry.

Yes, it's painfull watching this slow death. Of course it wouldn't happen if we kept posting...

I have not heard of this. Please explain for the dimbos at the back like me.

As far as I can see, there are only about 10 people posting regularly. It's like the secret garden, or something.

I don't quite see how you've managed to amass 256 posts, I must say. Have you been hiding them round the back in special pockets?

This place was NEVER exactly teeming with activity - loads of people registered early on and promptly never did much of interest. The way I see it, two or possibly more things will happen:

1. It will become the secret gaming haven, slowly growing as more people blunder onto digiworld.tv only to find they're too late, a hidden utopia, where Digi-related merchandise is free for all. Or at least Very Reasonably Priced.

2. It will die a slow death as we gradually run it into the ground.

3. Possibly something else.

well its not really a record, the old future gamer forum is still around, probably about 5 years since future gamer disappeared :)

Sorry about the delay, I forgot I posted in this topic and the search function seems to have toe-ended that galvanised pale Nash uses for mopping up. Hope you're still around to read the answer.

What I said in that quote is clearly hyperbole, but RevStu was reported on in this edition of NTK, which is a ITish newsletter I read from time to time. About a quarter of the way down the page there are links to arguments he's had with people about copyrightish stuff on his forum of choice, rllmuk.com (his username is Some Guy, as is evident by his signature).

I'm not going to give you links to every post he's ever made on there because he goes on about it all the time, but to save having to keep repeating himself in these arguments he seems to have set up this this helpful service.

Now perhaps you shall understand why I had to apolgise for that useless attempt at a joke I made in the last post.

I get two posts for the price of one. I rock!

I predict murder will be comitted amongst us at the first sign of a nubile women on these forums, heralding their destruction.

Hugh - September 23, 2003 11:34 AM (GMT)
It's a certainty! Stupid girls can't play computer games anyway. Poobums to them.

Look, I'm replying to everything. It's like some sort of auto-Hugh thing.

Good - someone has to.

Bad Ambassador - September 23, 2003 06:05 PM (GMT)
God damn it, this place is wheezing and spluttering like an old lady who's been punched in the guts.

Mirsha - September 24, 2003 10:05 AM (GMT)
Maybe her kipper needs some fish oil.

Bad Ambassador - September 24, 2003 07:32 PM (GMT)
Her kipper stinks enough as it is.
