Title: still two weeks to go

Godber - September 9, 2003 05:53 PM (GMT)
Well. That's Tony Hawk's 4 completed. Majora's Mask is officially mined out and Go Go! Troublemakers is nearly complete. What the devil am I supposed to do until Soul Calibur 2 comes out? I'd buy Ikaruga but I'm waiting for the second hand price to drop beneath 20 sovs.

I'd buy Ikaruga but I know it'd show me up for the very average gamer that I am.

Just read a book or something.

My flatmate imported Soul Calibur II and F-Zero GX from America last week and it cost him about 15 less of our British pounds than it will for people buying them here. Spite Nintendo and save money at the same time, all the cool kids are doing it mang.

I heard that Ikaruga is a shoddy translation job. Are the voices I heard right?

I don't know, but I heard them too so I imagine they speak the truth.

The voices never lie. Besides the american versions got better box art than the shoody Pal version.

Go buy N O W!

Ooh!

£200 for either Samba de Amigo (w/maracas) brand new, or Radient Silvergun at a local shoppe! Of course, I don't have £200 knocking about, but!

What?

PS: great review of Ikaruga

Himura - September 11, 2003 10:15 PM (GMT)
I agree with the review games are getting too easy... when I was 5 and I played mario 3 on the nes I could get to the rhird world... now when I play it on my DC (emulated) I can barely manage the first world... I have found this to be the case with many games I played when I was younger.

Agreed. Metroid Prime on hard is the only decent challenge I've had in years.

I didn't find Prime too taxing. It was challenging but apart from in a few boss battles I didn't find myself dying much. Having played on it for a few minutes the other day, I have decided it's probably my favourite Cube title to date.

Ikaruga aside, I actually think getting all the Sta- sorry, Shines on Mario Sunshine has been the toughest challenge, and is one that frankly I probably won't bother to complete. And Monkey Ball Expert. Has anyone here finished that? Also Chris' lack of carrying space on Resident Evil makes playing as him a chore. How about 'True Survival Mode'? No thanks, I've got better thing to do (and shoot).

Bad Ambassador - September 13, 2003 06:46 PM (GMT)
I didn't bother getting all the Shines on SMS, either. I enjoyed the game a lot while I was playing the main chunk of it, but the tasks for the remaining Shines look a bit tiresome.

Godber - September 15, 2003 01:40 PM (GMT)
Chris on Resident Evil is actually quite tricky and frustrating, as you simply can't afford to use shots on zombies in the early stages. Later on, fighting the hunters is a bit iffy as you're hampered by the controls and rather naff weaponry. But after that it's no more difficult than playing as Jill.

Monkey Ball expert? What about Monkey Ball master?

Now that is a challenge...
