erm, i know this is probably a silly question as they're probably on the same webspace as the site, and allowance for said webspace will soon be being spent on gin, but i'm beginning to like this little community.

This forum isn't on the same webspace, so it will probably stay. As long as there are posts.

As I've already said, there's no reason for the forums to go anywhere. As long as people want to use them, they'll be here.
