Title: What now?

What's next for the little team of merry men?

I'd love it if you made a monthly papery mag, that was cheap (I'm talking £3), not very big, but full of self-righteous hate, ELSPA-ruffling and at least a few of these characters. We need some games mag that's at least a BIT daring. Edge is good but it doesn't kick up much of a fuss. Not even PC Zone, as far as I can remember (having not read it for years since it went all tepid, e.g. when Brooker departed) is anything but wearily dull.

Or have you now given up the world of games-related journalism for good?

Yeah a monthly would be good...

Even a monthly neswletter via e-mail, only it wouldn't contain news.

Anything, anything to brighten up the big fetid shit that is games journalism.

Well I have just decided I'm going to feature games (or rather the industry) more heavily in the e-zine I will be launching toward the end of the year. It's going to be a full-time project for me (when not doing my dissertation) as it will be my Major for Uni.

So regardless of whether the digiworld staff do anything, maybe I will.

I won't be able to do the full mag on my own (it's actually gonna be taking a satirical swipe at consumerism, that's the premise of the mag), so maybe I'll ask around here if anyone fancies being on the staff and writing about games, if anyone is still here.

My website (The Spoon) is currently being redesigned and will be functional (hopefully) by the end of next week. It's very much in the vien on Digi. Campbell, Nash, Popular and Biffo - you can all write for me, if you wamt. £1 a month pay. Free rubbish PS2 games, in rubbish cases which you can't sell at GameStation.

Where is this "The Spoon"???

shrinkwrapped - September 6, 2003 01:25 PM (GMT)
Why, it's here of course.

AN_D_K - September 6, 2003 01:34 PM (GMT)
Ah, the one the spoon URL variation I didn't try. Thank you!

It doesn't currently work properly at the moment, though. But the news archives are all there.

My website (The Spoon)

Oh, it's yours now is it? What about the poor sod who does all the writing for it, man? He's a great guy!

He's insignificent.

That's what the world said about Jim Davidson, and look where he is today.

All you need now is a speedboat so you can ponce around Torquay harbour!

Not to mention a tedious right-wing attitude.
