You've got the free Monday ish. You've got bumline. Problem is, these require effort on the part of an unsure public - if you're dedicated enough to read the free Monday ish every week, chances are that you really like Digi anyway and just can't afford to subscribe yet.

What you want to do is send out a shortish text-only newsletter which anyone can sign up for.

It would need to maintain the correct balance to work: it would need enough exclusive content to make it worthwhile for current subscribers to read, but also promo lots of stuff which people would have to become Special Friends to read.

So it would slyly mix real information with tantalising tasters of the week's ish, or whatever. You could just stick a signup box on the main digi page, and have a checkbox for Special Friends to tick when they register saying they want to recieve it.

Or, would another spoddy information provider let you do a tiny Digiworld section on their own newsletter?

Well, those are my ideas. I'm going to be using them for my own (non-games-based, non-subscription) website even if they're not of use to you.

It's been nine weeks, and no newsletter or anything. We may have been promised this, but I can't remember.
