Title: Who Will Die In Book 6
Description: which is the most likely

Fleur Delacour - August 10, 2003 11:31 PM (GMT)
Please pick a character that you think is a likely candidate to die in book6 (or 7 for that matter) and explain why you think that. I am curious to see who thinks what on this subject. I think that J.K.R. has several deaths in store for us so if you think more than one of them will die in the future add it to your explanation. Hanna

I think Voldemort will die or not be able to return by the end of the books. Neville might die, but I hope not. I also think a Professor or former Professor will die.

I just thought of something! Sirius died! Ron would be the faithful sidekick. The Sirius! What if he dies like that too!!!! (Read the Marauder's Reborn Thread if you want to know what I'm talking about.)

Tom Riddle - August 14, 2003 06:56 PM (GMT)
it could happen but i don't think it will.

Mad-Eye Moody - August 14, 2003 08:28 PM (GMT)
I believe there will be *some* deaths - but not a major characters; they'll be saved for the seventh book. More likely I believe the books 6 is the story about rising of Voldemort and the fall of the ministry. I'd bet a real cliffhanger before book seven leading the major characters in a distress with the world as they've known so far falling apart around them.

I'll await the book 6 to stand as a turnpoint for some 'minor' characters - like Percy and Dobby; They'll be stated against their believes and standards to decide, on who's side they really are. The book 6 will be drawing the final line between 'good' and the 'bad' preparing us to the final battle in book seven.

I think Lupin will die. I have a feeling that the next closest person from Harry finding out more about his parents will die now that Sirius is dead (sniff sniff). Or the second bad feeling is for Neville to die because he's just finding his strenghts. It's just logical. :kitty:

Moonwanderer - August 15, 2003 09:41 AM (GMT)
I see someone voted Snape'd die... I don't think he will, because JKR said herself that (when asked if he'd fall in love or if someone would would fall for him) "why would anyone fall for him?" and she also said something about finding out why in book 7. That hints that he's going to still be alive for that book.
I voted "other" because all of the others were crucial characters who I think'll play a big role in the last book... That's what I think anyway.

Lily Potter - August 15, 2003 07:18 PM (GMT)
I agree with tonks.
I think Lupin.
As she said [QUOTE]I have a feeling that the next closest person from Harry finding out more about his parents will die now that Sirius is dead[QUOTE]

Now that I think about it, I think there will be quite a few more deaths before it is over, because when J.K.R. was talking about the last chapter in the 7th book which that she already wrote, she said something about you getting to see who the survivors were. So I think things might get worse than we think. She did say though, that we would have closure or something so I guess we won't be left hanging, but I still wish the books would go on forever, lol! :wizard:

Fleur Delacour - August 31, 2003 08:11 AM (GMT)
Those are all really good thoughts and Fremon might be right about book 6 setting us up and drawing the fine line between good and evil. In book 7 I am pretty sure dumbledore will die. I also think that the trio might not make it out as a trio but more of a duo. I won't say which one of them will die. I don't think that there will be all the weasley's left either. As much as I hate to say that. Of course if Percy died right now I wouldn't care! Hanna

stargirl1129 - August 31, 2003 11:24 PM (GMT)
As much as I hate to say it, because I am absolutely furious beyond words with Percy, I think that he may redeem himself before this is all over. I think we might hate him up until the very end and then he'll go try to save Harry or Ron or somebody and then say he's really sorry or something and die. And then I'd be devestated for hating him for so long. Or just the opposite could happen. Voldemort could offer him power he couldn't refuse and then he'd try to kill Ron or something. These are just some thoughts though, I'm not really sure about any of them.

Amerlie Lupin - November 28, 2003 06:47 PM (GMT)
I think SNAPE'S gonna die.. :jawdrop: just because. I'm following my.. intuition?

Mad-Eye Moody - November 28, 2003 08:06 PM (GMT)
As I'm now rethingking the possible plot for books 6 and 7 - there is a possibility of the great losses in book 6; just to leave the main characters to face the book 7 with all the unevitable challenges by all them alone - this is, in a nutshelf, a story of growth, courage and principles... and of course a story about how easy is to lose Your faith and respect for all the good..

.. just foreseeing the possibility of losing one or more major characters in book 6 - just to make room for the courage of the other majors for book 7..?

(Yuck, how JKR can make things complicated and difficult to predict.. I love that! I do!)

i hvae no clue. i think it could be like a teacher. Not Dumbledor, not yet at least, but a teacher... i don't now who... or even a Weasly.... not goign to say whitch, but one of them... just a thought though...

Hermione - November 30, 2003 03:05 AM (GMT)
I say neville, not really sure why....

Fleur Delacour - November 30, 2003 06:34 AM (GMT)
I don't see Neville dying in book 6. I think JKR has more planned for him, but maybe not. I would dare say that we should see more of Viktor Krum in book 6. Who knows.

Cho Chang - November 30, 2003 08:27 AM (GMT)
i agree with that Hanna, after what happened in the last book, Will Nevill, he might have more up his sleves for us...
I also agree about Victor Kurhm...

weasley is my king - December 28, 2003 11:11 AM (GMT)
well...i think Lupin might die, as i've heard a lot of people talking about it.

As we all know, Wormtail has a silver hand now, and silver is one of the only substances that can kill a werewolf...

I picked other.

I don't know, all of the characters now are really important to the plot, or not important enough to be killed, I'm not even sure my reasoning makes sense.

I think maybe one of the Order members will die, minus the ones listed above.

I just hope none of the Weasleys get killed off, they are just too good and nice to be killed off.

So, in conclusion, as I sit here at my roller chair thinking of who could possibly die, I must say I think that Bellatrix will. Bellatrix Lestrawnge shall die. I know she isn't important, but I think she will.

We, the readers, need our sweet, sweet revenge.

At least I do. Pretend I don't exist if you hate this post.

Minerva McGonagall - August 31, 2004 07:43 PM (GMT)
I don't think any major characters will die in book six (Half-Blood Prince!) but there will be deaths in book seven- I just haven't decided who yet...

I don't hate your post fog! I actually think along the same lines. Not with who will die, but that all important characters are too important to kill, and those who aren't important don't matter.

But what I think, will be a lot like the Ceddric Diggory (sorry if I spelt his name wrong) thing, and JKR will make one of the less important characters stand forward, and then have them put to rest by killing them.

Harry couldn't die for two reasons, 1. He's the main character and without him, there would be no book 7 and 2. Voldemort and Harry are connected somehow. Harry feels Voldemorts happiness and anger and hate and revenge, and Voldemort can do the same. So if one dies, the other does as well. That's my theroy, it's odd, but hey, I am odd, so it fits.

I'll stick with Nobody! :D

Marcus Flint - September 12, 2004 04:31 AM (GMT)
ive always secretly hoped it would be ginny

i just dont like her

i mean she seems to have the same kind of deathwish harry does so why not give it to her

Michelangelo - September 13, 2004 10:44 AM (GMT)
I think Ron will be killed by Peter Pettigrew, but not before book 7.... In HPB I hope nobody die, but I think there will be several deaths.

Stargirl01 - October 10, 2004 09:59 AM (GMT)
I feel like she may kill Lupin, as she has already killed a lot of people important to Harry so far. And since now two of the mauraders are dead... im not sure if they are going to make it to the end of the book.
I just really don't want it to be any of the Weasleys, Hermione, Dumbledore or Hagrid.

J-Bean - December 5, 2004 01:03 PM (GMT)
I think the last of the marauders will die (if you don't included the trader Wormtail) because he is the next closest thing harry has to a parent and he knows more about Sirius and James and Lily than harry does.
