Title: Book release & The Solstice's

Marcus Flint - May 12, 2005 10:47 PM (GMT)
Has anyone noticed besides me that every single release date for a book or movie was on a major equatorial/seasonal solcetice?

oh jk how we love you

I had noticed that and that's why I'm disappointed that we have to wait until July instead of June. What's July 16th?

besides being the day when rome was burnt to the ground "in the center of the 7th month," as to my knowledge it doesnt follow the pattern which is very odd :bouncey:

Sorry to ask this probably dumb question but I have no idea what a solcetice is and I can't find my dictonary at the moment. It would be great if someone could explain it to me so that I can join in the discussion ;)

Harry Potter - June 7, 2005 07:19 PM (GMT)
It is again on a Saturday, which is logical, because most people are free on a Saturday and can buy the book the first day it comes out. . We couldn't do an all night book party on a school night!!! :D

It's not a dumb question! ;) , The word is solstice. That may be why you couldn't find it. It's when the sun reaches the tropics of Capricorn or Cancer--Winter and Summer Solstice--21 of December and June.

Maybe it's in July this year so it fits in with our British exams timetable. If it was the 18th of June it would coincide right in the middle of the exams season here, Believe me, there would be no revising! :D

Ohhhhhhh, so that's what it means, now I get the meaning of this whole discusion :P I just thought that it was a random discussion about something....

Now that I know what it means, it is pretty wierd what is happening

Wow, I wonder if she planned that. It almost seems like too much of a coincidence to me, but who knows? I wonder if JKR would answer a question about that on her site, if someone sent one in...
