Title: sig problem

Sensikat - August 12, 2004 05:38 PM (GMT)
I feel like I'm making too many threads in this topic, so please let me apologize. As a Ravenclaw I'm ashamed!
*blush* (p.s. we need a blushing emoticon) ok that will do for now.

Anyway, onto the problem. I was assigned a wand, which then I went into my controls and added to my siggy. If I go into "my controls" the wand appears in my sig but when I look at it when I post, it does not appear. What am I doing wrong here?

*hides under her desk in shame and prays for an answer*

Edit: OK I have a few more questions here, hopefully my ignorance will not shame my house. ;)

1. I was reading the rules today, and was wondering (since I could not find them) where I can go to get sickles, knuts, etc... & also how to get a broom.

2. Is it ok to post pics in threads? Sometimes I'd like to be able to post pics to go along with my journal entries, my friends are rather silly and entertaining so y'all may enjoy poking fun at us. ;)

Thanks to whomever takes the time to answer my questions. :)

Firstly, there is no need to apologise. We all run into some sort of difficulty now and again!. I think the problem with your signature is quite simple, by highlighting under the bottom of your banner in your signature you can see the text. But with the colour scheme of the board it’s not visible so just change the colour of the text to red or any lighter colour and it will show up (edit signature in My Controls). If this does not work then just say.

We actually, do not offer brooms or a wizarding currency!. We did used to but If I’m honest I’m not quite sure why we don’t anymore! (Headmaster/s feel free to correct me!).
With the revamp coming up this may well be introduced again. Posting pictures as far as I am aware is aloud and you can upload them. I will PM a Headmaster to just check if there are any rules regarding posting pictures, but I would of thought it would be allowed. I hope this has helped clear a few problems :)

/Liam

Thanks Liam. :D

Please do let me know if the broom assigning goes back into effect; I have noticed several people on here have brooms, and...well being the age I am I don't want to be the only one without a.."wizarding mode of tranportation."

LOL I already have a sticker on my car saying "Muggle vehicle - registered with the ministry of magic" so I assure you I do have a broom riding license! ;) (just ask the broom by my front door that falls over whenever company comes)

Liam is correct. We used to give out brooms, vaults, and money, but since there really was no use for any of it, we stopped. Other than that, there's really no reason for why we quit handing that stuff out. I imagine that we could start again, though. I'll mention it to the other Headmasters...

You can upload pictures as long as they're small, but we prefer you to direct link them from your own image host to save on bandwidth and to make the board load faster.

Thanks for the response Elizabeth, I was a little unsure the policy regarding image uploading. I for one would like to see the Brooms & Vaults brought Back, I hope the Head’s consider it! ;)

I was also thinking about bringing back vaults and such. Then, we could offer money as prizes to buy that brooms, wands, and robes, etc. Oh, that would be neat!!

One last thing, if you ever do get permission to upload a picture - make sure it's not a .png image and that it doesn't extend board width (<-- or -->). There are exceptions for Headmasters. :D
