Title: Name Change
Sensikat - August 11, 2004 07:04 PM (GMT)
Hello dearest staff;
I was wondering if it was possible to do a name change. I used my regular nickname on the other forums I belong to, but now that I'm here to stay, I think I'd rather have a more "potterific" name. Is this possible?
I'd like to be something relating to Tonks, if the name hasn't already been taken. I'm in my 20s, clumsy, with too many hair color changes so I think the name would fit, lol. ;)

Yes that should be ok. You will have to wait for a Headmaster to be online he/she will edit your name. There might be a chance your chosen name is taken however, If that member has been inactive for over a month I would think that you would have choice of that name!.

I'm not sure of our policy on name changes for regular members. As far as I know, custom things like that are reserved for staff, but I'll ask around and see if we can make an exception for a good member. :D

I appreciate that Elizabeth, but really I don't mind waiting until I've been on here a bit longer if that's the policy. I don't want anyone to think I'm getting special treatment because you know I will turn several shades of red, lol. ^_^
I'll check back with you once I've at least made it to 1st year if that's cool.

oops sorry that was me, I didn't realize I wasn't logged in. And I also didn't realize you could post without being logged in, weird.
...and now I see I am indeed a first year student finally. Ah well, do what you deem fit, just PM and let me know ELizabeth.
hugs,
Kat

Eh, We really should revive and revise the old policies sooner or later. I'll check the old policy because that's what still stands for now.
I'll get back to you, k?

No problem, take your time. I'm not going anywhere and I'm not in a rush about this at all. :)

I would like to change my name to Emma Watson.

I am discussing a policy for name changes with the other Headmasters. When we reach a conclusion, both of you will be notified in this thread. ^_^

Yes, I know I am double posting - forgive me. :/ Anyway, we have come up with a policy for for Name Changes.
To change your username, you must have:
150 Posts (Quality will be checked, if a lot of the posts are spammy - you may be turned down)
You must be a member of the board for atleast 30 days.
These rules are kind-of strict, but changing your name is a huge privelege. :D

That sounds very reasonable to me, thanks for following up. :)
