Zabini is a male.

QUOTE
The Lexicon has been updated with information from the Portuguese translation team as to Blaise Zabini's gender. He's male, as JKR told them in translation discussions.

So there you go, the ageold question every one has been dying to know has been answered. ^^ I was right woo! I have always stuck by the idea of him being a male.

I've always thought of Blaise as a boy, but I have read some Girl!Blaise fics before. It doesn't really matter to me, though, since he's not a major character.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

I always thought of blaise as the androgenous character

my friends and i make jokes about it all the time!!

Albus Dumbledore - July 12, 2004 07:28 AM (GMT)
Sorry to put a damper to those jokes but he is a guy. Dont worry why not try to find someone else fromt he sorting list that was not said wither they are a Female or a Male? Or has everyone got a gender?

Tom Riddle - July 23, 2004 07:34 PM (GMT)
I think everyone is accounted for.

Albus Dumbledore - July 25, 2004 09:24 AM (GMT)
Alas,
All well, remember the good times when you where unawear of his gender or maybe he can have a sex-change....never know, it could happen.

Minerva McGonagall - July 25, 2004 10:19 PM (GMT)
That would be turning HP into a soap opera, and I would never forgive JKR if she did that...

HAHA...Ditto here,
But if a slash happened that would too turn into a soapie too...OR what if Albus Dumbledore has a logn lost son or something? dang that would be wack.

Minerva McGonagall - July 27, 2004 05:54 PM (GMT)
She could always turn it into a Mary Sue story. Draco Malfoy has a long-lost sister who comes to Hogwarts at the age of 9 (and transfers from an American school) because she's such a genius. She falls in love with Harry's long-lost brother, who is also a 9 year old wizard genius. Together they defeat Voldemort and one becomes the new Hogwarts Headmaster and the other becomes the Minister of Magic at the age of 15...

The sad thing is, I've read a story like that before. Never again.

Nope wont happen.
Why you ask? Because Jo said she isnt intoducting any American characters, you can cheak her FAQ or something, well not just American practically any other type expt. English. How about this...

Vlodemort has turned evil long ago because he found out his long lost daughter was Lily, driving him mad (Lily'sum cheated on her husband) and not dealing with such a think like a half-blood witch as a daughter he realizes he must kill her and her family to survive and uphold his reputation. Then we go onto the story part we know yada yada...then we come to about 7th year when Harry has to defeat Lord Voldemort, he is clueless to defeat him, when he realizes in his frist year how he deafted him...it was love. So Harry doesn tknow who he loves because he is a little love-depraved all his life and doesnt know how to love...he falls in love with Hermione and they defeat himn too while Hermione takes a knock down thus making harry go skitzo and deafeating Voldemort for his loved one. Oh yeah Ron can die int he process or something...isnt really a big thing....what ya think?
