Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban may have only just had its World Premiere, but work is already underway on the next Potter adventure, The Goblet of Fire.
For months there's been speculation about who will be playing which parts.

And finally, producer, David Heyman exclusively told Newsround Online who will be playing some of the roles.

Madame Maxime, headmistress of Beauxbatons, will be played by 1970s sitcom star Frances de la Tour.

She's most famous for her role in the classic British comedy Rising Damp.

And Brendan Gleeson will play Defence Against The Dark Arts Teacher Mad-Eye Moody.

He's most recently been seen playing Menelaus in Troy, the King who has his wife stolen from him by Orlando Bloom.

Gleeson has already appeared in a film with Daniel Radcliffe, The Tailor of Panama in 2001.

Work on Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire started a couple of weeks ago. And it'll be released in 2005.

Wow, she's, erm, not very attractive. Isn't Madame Maxine supposed to have olive skin? Or am I thinking of the wrong person... And she's too skinny. How are they going to make her Hagrid-sized?

Here's a picture of Brendan Gleeson, from Yahoo!

Your exactly right,
how are they going to make her Hagrid size and the Moody i expected him to be kind of thin and older with lots of wrinkles.

They arnt what i expected but i guess maybe make-u and clothing will change that. Thanks for that picture.

Woah! How come?

This man has full pair of eyes - and he's nose is seemingly intact! *duh!*
Does not look a like me...

Make-up can do wonders, along with prosthetics, wigs, and colored contacts. He'll turn out eventually.

I hope.

Your exactly right Moody,
his has way too many limbs to play yourself. You should through him into a cage of lions then see how he will come out ready for the part and, moody is supposed to have wild girzzly hair, this guy has hardly any hair.

I have hardly *any* hair.. this man had definitely be wearing a wig to be me! Well - a cageful of the lions would do good for his wig anyway... and for the eye, too... *glunks*; says the lion... *slurp, mjam...*

I pictured them both very different. I pictured Mad-Eye Moody basically how Jessica pictured him{I think}. But makeup can do a lot. Lets just hope it is enough.

It's amazing what they can do with movie make-up these days. Just look at Timothy Spall (Wormtail) in the PoA movie. Minus the make-up, he looks totally different than what you see in the Shrieking Shack.

You are so very right there Elizabeth...
Yet Mad-Eye has a fake eye and this chap had one to many of an eye, and he needs to be OLDER...

And for Madame Maxime... to make her Hagrid size when she already alooks like she has to put on some pounds for the role will be hard. LOL.

Well thats just me anyways...but i do agree Elizabeth make up will do wonders.

Marcus Flint - July 4, 2004 04:25 PM (GMT)
they could always blue screen his eye and then use effects to fill it in

Albus Dumbledore - July 5, 2004 01:05 PM (GMT)
Or lime green screen,
Lime green is best since Lime green is heardly ever used in films, thats what they used in PoA for the news papers and posters of a Sirius Black. You also use lime green most of the time when your making transparent pictures on the net. Its really amazing how people have figured things out over the years.

Merged with other thread :)

I found some clips from the period drama Gunpowder, Treason & Plot (starring Clemence Poesy as Mary Queen Of Scots) which aired last year on the BBC1, it was a brilliant mini-series!! I think I have it on VHS somewhere. Click here to view the clips clips 1-3 are worth a watch!!.
