Title: Harry Potter In The White House

I got a kick out of this, lol.
First Lady a Harry Potter Fan
Laura Bush has included Harry Potter in her Christmas decorating at the White House:
Good Morning America:
MRS. BUSH: The theme this year is a Season of Stories. Of course, as an old librarian and a lifelong reader, it was really fun to choose my favorite books. On the mantels we have Harry Potter. On the dining room table, we have Alice in Wonderland.
The Today Show:
Q:I understand this year you've chosen an interesting theme, Season of Stories, which is a theme I'm sure near and dear to your heart as a former librarian.
MRS. BUSH: That's right, as an old librarian and longtime -- life long reader. It's been really fun. I picked books that I particularly loved, Nancy Drew and my newest favorite, Harry Potter, who's back here over my shoulder.
Q Oh, cool.
MRS. BUSH: I read all the Harry Potter books, all five of them, this summer and it was like finding a great mystery writer and having that whole body of work to read at once. I really loved them. ~The Leaky Cauldron
I thought it was kinda funny that the White House is now decorated with Harry Potter stuff. I dunno, maybe I'm weird, but I though it was funny. :wizard:

That's really cool. Everyone's a HP fan! I was watching MTV Cribs one day (good show, if I may add) and Travis Pastrana is a Harry Potter fan. I thought that was pretty cool.

Yeah, I love that show! It just amazes me though, the whole Harry Potter mania. I mean everyone either loves it or hates it and almost everybody loves it. That's one thing about Harry Potter. It doesn't matter what age, race, gender, background, etc. you are. It brings people together, who under any other circumstances would never have met or talked or became friends. That shows that J.K. has an amazing gift.

How right you are Amber. It is amazing how something really simple has that kind of impact... not saying that J.K.R's books are simple. It is good though that different people from all walks of life can find a common ground.

Haha,
thats mad, white house in harry potter things, now that i would have to see! so does that mean all the guards would be dressed in cloaks and witch and wizard hats, and instead of guns they had wands? wahh>? it is a good question! lol.

Lol, I don't know if they took it that far, but it would be really cool! I think it was just decorations, but the whole outfit thing would be really funny. :)

That would be great. Right in the middle of some important Presidential thing she just stands up and says "Everyone join www.ddntforums.tk!" Ah, if only...
