Title: Like Michael Gambon?

Are you impressed with the new dumbledore by what you've seen and heard about Michael Gambon.

I think he's doing fine. It has to be hard to step in for someone in the middle of a series of movies. The only thing he needs to work on is the Dumbledore voice from the first two movies. But, other than that, I think he's great.

From what I've seen in the trailer and the few articles I've found he seems to be filling the shoes left by Richard Harris adequately. I mean the guy will never be Dumbledore, because Harris will always be. But as far as coming in after the series started, he seems to fit the bill. I hope he holds up for the rest of the series though, as I would hate to see them have to switch Dumbledore's again.

I have to admit I like Richard Harris better. But maybe Michael will grow on me in time. :dumbledore:

I thought Richard Harris (R.I.P) was fantastic, but even with him, I felt like something was missing from the depiction of Albus Dumbledore. Dumbledore is a complex one, who has this joyful, childishlike aurora around him (like when he tastes Botts every flavor beans) while balancing this wise, old, but very powerful prophet of a character. I just felt that the three depictions of Dumbledore in the last three films, didn't fully captivate the real Albus. Michael Gambon is a great replacement though *nods*

He seems like a pretty good person and I think that he is doing a good job in playing Dumbledore. He is doing the role correctly and doing the best that he can and that is the most important thing that someone can do, which is to try their best. I support him and all I have to say is, good, good, good :D
