Description: I"M TAKING A BREAK!

atariangamer - January 7, 2008 03:26 AM (GMT)
Okay...my dad sat us down and talked to us (family talk). Woah, are we behind. I need to get off the computer more and start trying to help around here (house). He gave the facts, and they hit home:
1. What once was a 4500$ savings is now 900$
2. We're putting 5500$ a year to our school. (We need a new car. Our newest is a 2001)
3. No one is home during the day, and the place is getting trashed.

In my personal note pad (or what ever), I said I need a break. Well, if y'all don't mind, I think now's the time to take it. I go down at 10, get to sleep at 2, and wake up at 6. I don't really have time to eat breakfast, and I have the worst attention span ever. I'll be working on math, then stretch that 10 problems to about an hour in a half. I lost my comp, so I'm trying all I can to get that back, but I need to break from it and let it get fixed. I'm going to break off from here on Wednesday, this week. I'll log off from all my computers, and just look around here as a guest. I'm going to take this time to set my home in order, clean everything up (including my comp when it gets fixed. I can get 10 gigs back just by deleting everything but the programs needed [works 3.1, chex quest, doom, doom builder, and my dos games. Getting rid of all my junk (the equivalent of 6 full dvds)]), and rest. I'll get peoples emails, and mail you with anything uber important. Yeah, dvader I'll still be tester. Sorry, zorchdude, I won't get to your sprites in time. I'll come back when one of two things happen:
1. Everything gets sorted out enough here.
2. Something really awesome happens here. (big mod release...something like that)

Whoo. If you really want to get in touch with me during this time, use my wii email address. Post your name here, I'll get your email and register it with my wii. I'll then be able to recieve messages and send them. Well, sorry to hit and run out (less than half a year) but, this really needs to happen. Don't worry, I never change.

Thats too bad that you are leaving, but I think what you are doing is very mature and most likely the right thing to do.

lol

Here's a suggestion: Just because your family's newest car is a 2001 doesn't mean you need a new one. If it's in good running order and you need money in other areas, then getting hooked on a new car payment or whatever is not a good idea.

Quoted for truth. Even if your car is 30 years old, so long as it runs well stick with it.

Now if the car is on it's last legs and is no longer reliable, that's a different story all together.

our oldest is the one that costs us about 2000$ a year due to brakes, steering, and AC. The windows don't work very well, so that rules out that. Thanks, allen, that backs me up a bit. *sigh* I might be able to get more work done if I'm not on here, so this is for the best. I might come back with tons of stuff to show yall.

Your oldest? What about your newest that's a 2001 model? Is it plagued with all of the other problems and whatnot?

atariangamer - January 8, 2008 11:28 AM (GMT)
Yeah. The heat doesn't work very well (sometimes takes 30 miniutes to get some warmth), the key will get stuck in the ignition sometimes which causes the AC to not work and the windows to not go down. Its windows will sometimes for no reason not want to go up (or down for that matter). The oldest is a '97.

*sigh* Well, I'm going on a break. See y'all later. This should give me time to sort out things here, maybe get a project completed, and...well, if school gives me problems...you might not see me till late may. -_- G'bye.

Manny Cav - January 8, 2008 02:05 PM (GMT)
Well, bye bye! I hope you have a good time, and that school and your other work goes well for you!
