Title: The Future
redbipedicus - January 1, 2008 10:21 PM (GMT)
I'm mainly typing this to let out some emotion, but comments are welcome.
Today my family all got together and my parents announced that we will be moving in 18 months. At around that same time, my two older brothers, who have been my lifelong companions are going to move away and get an apartment. This means that in my Junior year of high school, I will be losing all my current friends, AND my brothers. Not only that, but because of the fluctuating housing market, my parents say that we will probably be moving into a SMALLER house.

*sigh* I went through that twice, except I didn't lose a brother each time, just one of my top friends, which were hard to come by in the neighborhoods we moved to.

My parents think that the neighborhood is going downhill. They want to move to a better location before my little sister enters kindergarten.

Well, the only thing I can think to say is that it's good for your little sister, and bad for you. But if I was your parents, I would want to move somewhere where my daughter (being in your parent's shoes) would be safe. Look at it this way, most moves are blessings in disguise.

I've probably went through around 10 or so moves in my lifetime, so I'm fairly used to the idea of moving.
