Title: A little bit about brain candy

brain candy - December 31, 2007 04:53 AM (GMT)
Hey there, I'm brain candy (or Natalie if you'd like). :hi

I was introduced to these forums by Wayc in 2004 after we had a long discussion about how epic Chex Quest was back in the day (and still is).

I was born in Texas in 1986 (I'm 21 now), but moved to Utah when I was between 7th and 8th grade. Utah is okay.... but Texas is better. My forum profile claims my interests include "putting bags in other bags, binary, music, computers, guitar, pasta, turtles" and "gun cleaning, sally struthers impersonations, pina coladas" among other things, but only some of those are true. (Points to those who guess the correct ones!)

I live in a "dirty, old railroad town" an hour north of Salt Lake with my boyfriend (in a house we bought over a year ago) and our pets. I'm a half-vegan, half-vegetarian, depending on the day. I enjoy when there are "la la la's" or some similar refrain in music. I play the guitar, some drums, and some bass. Video games are awesome.

I run Ubuntu Linux exclusively and think that Kurt Cobain was murdered. (I like parentheses). Mmmhmm.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Nice SNES SP.

Hmm...I do like the Nes sp. (Its the First Nes, not the Super Nes, anon)
I'm going to guess on of the correct ones...computers? Because no one that didn't like computers had a Linux system, its mainly for modification, Linux is.

I'm going to say that among the correct ones are binary, music, computers, turtles, and pina coladas.

And, to be honest, that SP would probably distract me too much if I actually tried to play something on it. :P I like my plain blue one just fine.

Oh, how I loved that NES SP. I didn't find it too distracting, but the attention it got while on the bus or waiting before class was. Unfortunately, I dropped it smack on it's back (screen side up), and the screen now displays very very very light graphics, so it's pretty much toast. Makes me sad... any known fixes?

I enjoy binary (as much as one can enjoy binary), music, computers, guitar, pasta, and turtles (tortoises actually). I've never actually had a Pina Colada. Lately, my boyfriend and I have been working on the bedroom we built in the basement, so I haven't had much time for the guitars and the binary. After the room is done, I really want to start working on our Tote Gote.

Today, I started back at school. I'm a junior (of sorts) at a University up here in Utah. I'm majoring in Telecommunications Administration and Computer Engineering.

Anyways... this is my tortoise and his name is Gruff (pronounced 'Griff').
