I hope to get this done and released to you guys in a few weeks. I am jockeying this project with some other things at home, so progress isn't very fast. Feel free to reply with some suggestions on what could be cool to add to the map.

Dvader0086 - December 8, 2007 09:01 PM (GMT)
What's it for? Doom legacy or GZdoom?

Richie - December 8, 2007 09:40 PM (GMT)
That looks sweet! I look forward to playing it!

Manny Cav - December 9, 2007 01:05 AM (GMT)
I have a suggestion: Put your new Flemoid in it! :D

The_Green_Avenger - December 9, 2007 01:15 AM (GMT)
Absolutely awesome! I need that! Take as long as you need, as long as it's done, I'm good!

None <_< U Doom, right. Your map looks great. :)

It's Legacy, in openGL mode.

Nice work, Charles.

I wonder if Boingo would have permission to use this in TUCQ

Lucius Octavion - December 9, 2007 04:09 AM (GMT)
Oh my god it's the room! From the intro! :D

Replica - December 9, 2007 04:34 AM (GMT)
Maybe through some new things in, like a God mode replacement. And maybe a flashlight and stuff. If its not to mutch trouble.

Also, in my CQ3. I put a war area were theirs a table in a room, with a map on it. Sort of like a battle plan area. (This probably won't make sence)

xbolt - December 9, 2007 05:59 AM (GMT)
That there, is pretty sweet. :D

I've always wanted to play in that room...

Loremaster - December 9, 2007 07:34 AM (GMT)
Awesome work! I can't think of anything you could do better!

Manny Cav - December 9, 2007 01:59 PM (GMT)
Wasn't the room from the intro on board a large ship of some sort?

Dvader0086 - December 9, 2007 02:01 PM (GMT)
Right you are manny... But from entering the ship we do not know what happens from there... They could have beamed down to the surface for all we know... Chuck's the one who helped with the story, he should know...

Mr_deeds - December 9, 2007 02:08 PM (GMT)
Goodie! another series of levels for me to play with my kids soon!

Well planets would have airlocks if there was no air on the planet, :P But correct it is on a ship.

Definitely need a flashlight. Oh and because I am a grammar nazi (click the link if you don't understand):

P.S. through = throw; mutch = much; theirs = there's; sence = sense

I knew there was somthing spelled wrong! But not that much. Mutch was just a spelling error.

atariangamer - December 9, 2007 07:14 PM (GMT)
Oh, man. wow. yes.

Chuck, did everyone pitch in on the mapping at Digital Cafe, or were you just the artist? cause you sure churn out the best durn mapping along with the best new old-styled game art I ever saw!

You are ignorant. Look at the friggin crosshair.

atariangamer - December 10, 2007 02:11 AM (GMT)
well, I think its legacy. I hope he comes back with info soon. He posts kinda eratic (crazy).

Zorcher - December 10, 2007 05:25 AM (GMT)
Very very nice, you are my hero for posting new levels for Chex Quest! ^_^

What Chex Quest really needs is a much larger variety of textures as there aren't that many so the map will definately offer more in terms of more levels to play.

Keep up the very good work, I look forward to seeing the final product!

Chukker - December 10, 2007 06:29 AM (GMT)
It's Legacy. Boingo's full download on his site makes for an easy development environment wherein I can just add a new wad and change the bat file. Hopefully when I get done there won't be too much trouble getting this to run under any of the other ports, but I'm not a heavy technical guy so I don't know for sure.

atariangamer - December 10, 2007 11:26 AM (GMT)
If you use 3d floors (which look good in a game), it can only go to GZDooM.

I'm liking what I see, and if Boingo was thinking of making an intro movie, maybe he could just record a demo of a multiplayer chex game with a person as a camera (with xbolt's widescreen cutscene picture overlay). He then could put in voices and special sounds.

On topic: keep it up, good fellow!

I wonder what the Super Shotgun Would look like in ChexQuest. Maybe you could add that?

Zorcher - December 10, 2007 09:05 PM (GMT)
Umm, super shotgun is a Doom 2 weapon only. You can use DECORATE to make two slots available for selection 3 but I don't think it's really necessary. Its not in the original and probably wouldn't be seen as a good upgrade.

Replica - December 10, 2007 09:12 PM (GMT)
I know <_< . I was asking if he can add a replacement download. Like he put up a Download for Ultricus. (An error in legacy alous the Weapon to work ;) )

atariangamer - December 11, 2007 01:19 PM (GMT)
actually, if you know the object number, and the sprites are in the wad, it'll work.

atariangamer - December 14, 2007 07:32 PM (GMT)
No, not an error. Legacy mapping is designed for DooM\DooM 2 mapping. This means that all objects are available.
