Title: Question: Is Chex Trek Still An Ongoing Project?
Boingo the Clown - November 24, 2007 03:04 PM (GMT)
Is Chex Trek still an active project, or has it slipped by the wayside?

Well, it's not "dead," but it's hit a snag. Learn what you will at the official Chex Trek forums
here.

The project is stuck?
I only read part of the thread. Can you summarize it for me? My brain isn't working today.

Basically, StoneyDumples is going to be on an LDS Mission in Las Vegas for the next two years with no access to a computer. All the while, the remainder of the team, including "Jerick," will be working on new Chex Trek material that will be put into a new "Rage" engine by id Software. They might be working as we speak, but the project is in quite a predicament at the time. They're kind of stalled, but it isn't completely dead.

That is very bad news. Of course it also answers the question of where Stoney has been for the past few months.
Tell me more about the Rage Engine.

I don't know what the Rage engine from id Software is or anything about it, but it must be good if StoneyDumples made the big decision to switch to that engine in favor of Doom 3.
Hopefully, though, as I stated, Jerick and the other members (how ever many there are...) are/have been working on the "new material" for the Rage engine at the present.

"Rage Engine," or id Tech 5, is basically the Doom3 (id tech 4) engine with a better rendering engine.
But that means, NOOOO!, since this id Tech 5 probably can't run on my shizzy computer.
