Does Doom count? Really, that and Chex Quest are about the only "hacking" I do, if you can even call it "hacking".

i tried to hack SMW once...but had to quit when I couldn't find my SMW cartridge and illegaly downloaded it. But the levels were cool. I tried to do graphics hacks on atari games, nintendo games, and the sonic games. I actualy fixed the Hidden Palace Zone in Sonic 2 Beta. But that right there is good mapping.
:D

I mainly do hardware hacking. Thought about trying some wetware stuff, but never really wanted to testbed my own body.
Currently looking at building a railgun or coilgun.

That's the one that uses magnets to accelerate a projectile to a high velocity, right?

Aye. Pain in the butt, because of the large amount of power required. I'm thinking about using plasma projection instead of a discarding sabot style projectile, because sabots can be difficult with rails.
At least this way if [when?] it blows up, it'll be much more controlled.

I did CQ, Doom, Alien Shooter, Insane Aquarium Deluxe, Need For Speed 6, but it was just stuff for fun basically.
The coil gun sounds cool, Loremaster. I was actually thinking of doing some kind of experiment on it myself. It's a really inefficient gun design though. They're big, bulky, and require lots of energy, and complex design when compared to a conventional gun. The cool thing is I wonder if the technology could be applied to other things like every day cars or something.

I did the calculations, and for the application I'm looking at, I only need to apply use a 1.5 volt battery to get a muzzle velocity of 280 fps. [.4 gramme projectile]
It's the perfect Airsoft Sniper weapon, since ROF isn't an issue and it's QUIET.
Railguns are pretty efficient in terms of power for range and speed, but you can't fire them fast and they do require a LOT of power [for a lot of range and speed, granted]

I occasonally do "some form" of hacking for games... I did some hacking for the legand of Zelda 3 for snes once... That was horrable because you got your hearts alot easer than you would think...
