i've deside to switch to GZdoom.

it has 100 persent compatablity with boom (because of Zdoom does...).

Why did you switch??????

well, GZdoom is aswome! duh!
no. i'm swictching for a few reasons.

the ability to create new things. wicht meens new weapens, monsters, decorations. ect.

Slopes. it'll help alot!

sky boxes, it'll help soon enough

Well why didn't you just go with Zdoom?

for one simple reason. no 3d floors.

now that i've almost (almost) have desided to swictch

im also desiding on making the game longer. meening. galithus wont appear untill CQ3 2.0 part two. two wads. to make it extra long!

also one last thing. could anybody e-mail me the acctual Doom cfg. file? i always get Hexen or heritic.

Two WADs? Are there going to be 60+ levels?

Also, have you tested your WAD to see if it will actually work on GZDoom?

i'll have to fix most of it up. yes 60 + levels ;) but is more like a add on to the first wad. i'll also be adding friends, to help in battle. that would be aswome!

Can someone tell me all the features of Gzdoom? Like, does it support everything in legacy? Plus more?

I played thorugh it in TUCQ, and I have a few things to say.

Everything in it seems to work fine, except the teleporter things, 128x128 flats, and things unknown to gzdoom (like the wall lamps) don't work. Also, the flemoids tend to sink into the ground when zorched. I would switch to it if these problems were fixed. Also, how come the opengl lighting doesn't work? Has someone fixed the blood splats yet? Why don't switches work?

That link really didn't help any. It was all about zdoom. It is related, but I need to know about the features of gzdoom.

Gzdoom has all of Zdooms stuff.

...and more. If Mob720 wants information on GZDoom, he wants information on GZDoom, not ZDoom. They're not the same program. GZDoom has stuff that ZDoom doesn't have. That information may not be accurate for GZDoom.

oh sorry... it has 3D floors, more scripts... you know im not sure how their different :( except for the 3dfloors -_-)

Lucius Octavion - September 26, 2007 07:16 PM (GMT)
It's got all of zdoom's stuff and just a whole heck of a lot of open gl features. I think you can have dynamic lights with scripting, 3d models, high res textures and graphics, pk3 and zip support, 3d floors, slopes, fragglescript, zdoom scripting, decorate, and just a whole lot of stuff.

Mob720 - September 27, 2007 01:43 AM (GMT)
If TUCQ was set up for Gzdoom, I would totally switch.

Replica - September 27, 2007 02:06 AM (GMT)
it is, but iit has different 3d floors, and the sparkles on the elevators dont work...

Lucius Octavion - September 27, 2007 07:24 PM (GMT)
It is not set up for gzdoom really because boingo did some weird stuff that only legacy can do right now. However, you can still do this kind of stuff with gzdoom, but he would have to change stuff around to get it compatible.

thats a problem to CQ3 2.0 -_-

Lucius Octavion - September 27, 2007 09:44 PM (GMT)
It's kind of a problem for everything.
