Im thinkng of leaving the fan forums. i have my reaon and they are as follows
1. I have recently felt as if i was the only one posting (maybe a MON problem)
2. latly i have been takig a lot of criticism of my name avatar and idea,s
3.one of the reasons i joined was so i could get feedback on a project if i ever started one so i posted stuff on my project have gotten no feedback.
4. my life has been consumed by school and church so i am slowly running out of time to post here.
5. every one here need to lighten up a bit and not be so serios
PlLEASE do not post the whole please do not leave post if you dont want me to leave provide me reasons or evidence of why i should not leave.

You are most definitely not the only one posting here. The temporary reduced activity here is likely because of school starting back up. It'll wear off eventually.

That was one member doing that once, I believe. Regardless, you shouldn't leave just because one member says something offensive. And, as for taking criticism for your idea, they may have been just helping or offering suggestions (read as feedback, see #3). I get criticism for projects all of the time. If it's constructive, they're really just trying to help.

Where are the threads where you posted a project?

That can happen. You don't have to lurk around the board 16 hours a day or post 10 messages a day, you know. You can post hardly at all and still pop in a couple or so times a day.

Seems like a pretty relaxed group to me. B)

Well, that's kind of understandable. Mabey you should talk to your dad, show him around the board, or get him in touch with the administration here or mabey some of the other members here?

I can relate to that... Back when I first joined the forums, nary a day went by without a lecture on the dangers of the internet. He's loosened up a little since then, though...

3A- I came to this forum after rediscovering CQ, and intended to make a mod after learning how to do it... but im really lazy and pre- occupied, so i jsut dont bother enter the CQ chat area. i cant speak for anyone else though- but its prolly a time/ activity thing

I don't know why some of you guys think of this stuff and make topics about it so much. It's a FORUM for goodness sake. It's not like it should be a serious thing, and a huge factor of you life, unless you want it to be.

wow... dude, no one want anyone to leave, (we want people to join, stay, and chat) but lucius is right- ITS A FORUM, a place to chat, chill, and share ideas...

@lucius- the reason for self centered topics is usually narccissism, but sometimes its good natured or something (the point being, its about me, it must be interesting) (one of the reasons i cut back on posts actually)

And just look at who's taking things a little too seriously. :rolleyes: I don't think anybody here wants you to leave.

yall are all right i am beeing way too serious im just stressed you see im not doing good in schoolo and my parents are getting really mad. my dad is going to preach for a church sunday and we ar all hoping that he gets called to go be ther pastor because right now my family is in finacial trouble because my van is broken and my parents dont have the money to afford a new car or gas. this is thust the reason why im on really bad dial up internet. and finlly im so tired from school and ive been blowing up on everybody. i probably be on later tommorow im working a car wash in the morning or early tommorow. so just let me get some sleep and RandR and forget this whole thing. sorry if you feel this topic is selfcenerted for it was not sappost to be but like im said when im this tired its wore then rushnerd when hes drunk posting :P

Don't worry pikazec, I felt the same as you last month. But I stay because I know the users so well now, they know me, and this is the most polite board i've ever used (then again I'm also an occasional 4Chan poster too...).
I hope I wasn't the cause of some of your frustrations though! My goal here IS to lighten things up!

If somebody (or more then one person) was making you uncomfortable or flaming you, you should have reported it to one of the staff members. I can assure you that we would have taken care of it.

Your Dad saying that message boards are unsafe is an understandable reason to leave. We don't want to get you in any kind of trouble. Since he's obviously uncomfortable with you being here, why not show him that we're a kid friendly message board? Our board rules and strict language filter reflect that. If he wants to speak to any of the staff personally, that's fine.

no richie all is good. my dad just gets really mad when im up past my bed time and tries to make excuses for me to go to bed. like isaid earlier i was just really tired and not thinkking reasonably. thanks for your conserne. BTW the only thing wrong with my grades is i have a 88 in science and my parents dont like b's but as long as its a 93 in 5 weeks all is good thanks

The only person who gets on me if I get a B, just happens to be me. I'm a very big overachiever. Basically, anything under 95% to me is substandard.

Keep on coming, pikazec, when things heat up here, they'll get exciting pretty quickly. Right now, my activity is down due to travelling and the problems with getting online that this generates. For instance, I really don't know most of the more active members around here. They've come in since I've been roaming.

i fell you pain i get mad at my self for anything below a 95 but my dad gets really mad for anything below a A (93%)

I enjoy getting good grades, which is something that mostr of my classmates don't seem to get. They usually try to talk all day, leaving me cupping my hands over my ears, trying to concentrate. I can usually get done, though.

In other news (I just have to say this) I just finished my Hunter's Ed course!
