pikazec2012 - August 12, 2007 02:54 AM (GMT)
um i was thinking wed probably use doom legacy with the ultimate chex quest plus i have a tournamnet bracket maker i can use to randamize batttles, times, and places

Have you used Doom Legacy's multiplayer before? I was under the impression it was broken, though I may be wrong.

Also, may I suggest Lucious' Zorchmatch wad? TUCQ is not made for it.

Oh man not again, I can never get it to work... no matter what I do.

I'm interested in this...

Perhaps we should try using GZDooM, since Boingo is considering switching to that engine.

Also, will we be using Player Connector, or direct I.P. connection?

Anonymous - August 12, 2007 08:43 PM (GMT)
Player Connector would be the most logical solution.

Guys...stop. You act like 5 year olds.

Lucius Octavion - August 13, 2007 08:53 PM (GMT)
Yes, especially in a topic like this do not post irrelevant stuff. Back on topic.

Loremaster - August 13, 2007 09:04 PM (GMT)
So, first we need to set up a rough date. Any ideas? [preferably not for a spell, my internet access is intermittent at best currently until I get net set up at my new pad]

Lucius Octavion - August 13, 2007 09:34 PM (GMT)
Well before you do that you need to test it and see if it works.

Replica - August 13, 2007 11:11 PM (GMT)
one thing... could we use a prot that doesn't take down the fire wall?

Lucius Octavion - August 14, 2007 02:12 AM (GMT)
Dude, it doesn't really matter what port you are using. Different ports will require that you let data pass through different TCP and UDP ports on your router, and you must disable the firewall on windows.

Replica - August 14, 2007 02:20 AM (GMT)
:( to bad. then i cant play....

Lucius Octavion - August 14, 2007 02:33 AM (GMT)
You have to go and type in the IP address of your router and forward the ports that the game uses. Same thing with the firewall. You can do it.

Replica - August 14, 2007 02:41 AM (GMT)
thats not what i meant..... i'm not sure what you mean either..... what i meen is my mother will not alow me to use her computer for Wi-fi. if it turns off the fire wall. If you do that it wont turn off the fire wall? is that what you mean?

Lucius Octavion - August 14, 2007 02:56 AM (GMT)
With the ports open, the game should work properly without completely disabling the firewall. You need to do this with the firewall and with the router, if you are behind one.

Replica - August 14, 2007 04:59 PM (GMT)
Thanks if i get that done i'll try.
